Charming, fully furnished one bedroom cottage you would absolutely love. Property is located on charming 7 acres with a pond and a fenced in garden for those with a green thumb! Brand new split system for heating and AC as well as a wood burning stove for those snowy winter evenings.
Enjoy complete privacy while being just a 10 minute drive from all the shopping and restaurants. Trails and abundance of other nature activities are a huge plus as well.

Crazy "Cozy Cottage"

I don't like to put negative energy out into the Universe BUT... from the steep slippery stairs to the upside down entry door to the lack of water- no water at all in the morning- then the sulfuric water. And then there was the creepy cat picture on the wall. We named the place the S King Lodge after our favorite horror writer. The stairs alone are a red red flag. No light at the top of these steep, jankily constructed danger. And then theres the inside for which the only word that suits the place is WEIRD. Don't. Just don't.

DO NOT STAY HERE

This place was absolute dumpster fire. DO NOT BOOK! We booked this place for a little weekend getaway, and needless to say- we were extremely disappointed. The place is in a terrible neighborhood in the middle of nowhere. Finding the house alone was difficult as service is spotty. When we arrived the only reason we saw the house was because of a wooden post spray painted with the house numbers. The person told us that when we arrived not to drive past 2 tree trunks laid out 40 ft away from the home as your car would sink into the “pond" otherwise. The "pond" was essentially a giant puddle next to the home. There are no lights placed outside of the home either so if you book- bring flashlights to light your way. It is not advertised, but the "cozy" area is the attack to a house. You have to go to the side of the house with your flashlights and up seemingly recently installed stairs to a closet door of an entry way- if you even make it up the stairs. The stairs were very crooked and had exposed nails all over. We almost got severely hurt trying to bring our luggage up to the door. When you finally get inside there is saw dust all over the place- so if you book bring a mask! In the middle of the kitchen there is a strange door on the floor where anyone could walk in! There was a cage in the corner of the "cozy" area as well…don’t know what that was for. Perfect for axe murderers I guess! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE AND MONEY!!!

A rustic hideaway

Perfect spot for a secluded overnight while you explore the surrounding area. No frills but that was fine by us. Our dog loved running around the property and the pond view was very lovely. Inna was responsive and friendly during the entire stay. Would go back for a weekend stay in the future!

I am not sure how this place has such a strong review, which is part of why I booked it. First, to quote the listing: "You'll have this place all to yourself, except others in your party." This is a lie. You're renting the top, attic area of a rickety old house. Downstairs, there's other renters. You do not have the place to yourself. You're sharing it with them. The attic has really, really thin floors -- I could hear the other people talking, yawning, farting. The power went out constantly while I was there. I don't think it was a grid issue, as after 10-15 minutes, the downstairs people would blunder outside and mess with something. I suspect that the house's fuse box was unable to handle having two parties. Annoyingly, this happened A LOT during the night, and each time it would come back, everything in the house would beep and whir. The property itself is in a state of horrible disrepair. The stairs up are rickety, there's rusted out trash and benches scattered around, the ground is muddy and thick with unkempt weeds. There's nowhere to sit by the "kitchen table," a few boards nailed to 4x4s. There's a creepy trapdoor in the floor. Oh, and the ceilings are like 6.5' tall -- I felt like I was in China, slouching in the shower. Cell reception is very, very poor -- I was relying on the WiFi, which only worked when the power was on. What a dump!

A lot of things not disclosed

This property had great reviews so we chose it. However the stairs were rickity and scary the floor actually moved when you walked around it was quite unnerving. No instructions for check in were givem ahead of time. And no toiletrees. Not worth the money. Other than that theres the cutest pond and the greenery was livley pllace was also clean and the bed didnt seem bad at first but we couldnt slleep due to how bad the mattress.was

Electric Went Out and No Water for a Period

It is an attic apartment, which is fine, no table with chairs in the kitchen so it's hard to know where you should eat. I was photographing a wedding in the area. The real issue is that the morning of the wedding the electricity went out for around 30 minutes while I was charging batteries. I understand that happens sometimes, but when I came home from photographing the wedding at 10pm, there was no running water. I messaged the owner and she called. She asked if I could go down at 10pm and ask the ultra religious people living downstairs if they could re-start the pump. Not only is that a scary thing to do, but they weren't home to even do it. So she asked if I could go to the gas station to get drinking water. Never mind taking a shower your using the toilet. I just couldn't do those things. And now after a 12 hour day working I have no drinking water and I have to go back out and get water at the gas station?!? I found a half full water bottle in my car and just got out as early as possible in the morning.
