NEWLY REMODELED!! Cozy furnished studio in-law unit two blocks from Downtown Mill Valley - a beautiful town a 20 minute drive north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge. Restaurants, Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club, cafes, shopping, trail heads, movie theater, comedy club/live theater all within walking distance. You can't beat the location.

This is a one room unit with hardwood floors, 1 king sized bed, kitchenette with mini-fridge, sink, microwave, coffee maker, and table for 2, bathroom with shower. This studio is a ground level unit in a 3 unit building with a separate entrance. Flat screen TV and DVD player, wireless internet access and street parking available. Pack and play crib available upon request.

It's perfect for parents visiting their children/grandchildren in the area, or for wedding guests attending the Outdoor Art Club. With nice linens, plush towels, it's much more welcoming and homey than a hotel room.

Easy driving access to San Francisco sight-seeing, and to beautiful Marin scenery and wildlife. 15 minutes to the Muir Woods National Monument old growth redwood forest, and to beautiful Muir Beach. 5 minute drive to Golden Gate National Recreation Area hiking trails, including Tennessee Valley Road trail, where an easy 1 3/4 mile hike takes you to the beach. Mountain biking nearby and kayaking tours of the bay available in Sausalito. 8 to 10 minute drive to downtown Sausalito - explore stores in charming downtown Mill Valley, or walk by the bay on the Sausalito marina. There are ferries to SF leaving from Sausalito and Larkspur.

A 45 minute drive takes you to wine country in Sonoma or Napa, or to the Point Reyes National Seashore.

The unit is on the ground floor (no stairs) of a 2 story, 3 unit building. The backyard is not available for use because full-time tenants have exclusive use of it.

There is a family living upstairs so expect to hear some footsteps above when they are home.

Sorry, no pets allowed.

We also require a $75 cleaning fee for the studio for every reservation.

Mill Valley weekender

Great spot to access the very lovely town of Mill Valley and its surrounds. It was a little hard to locate the entrance, but eventually discovered it. Especially loved the little kitchenette area in the unit. Shower is super small, sunlight is a bit blocked by the fence and bushes outside the window, but it really worked for the long weekend we were there and using it as a base camp for our activities. Everything was very clean, bed and bedding comfortable. Owner was responsive when we informed her about noise from the apartment upstairs when we first arrived -- didn't hear anything much the rest of the time. Definitely would stay there again.

Lovely, quiet stay in an adorable neighborhood

My husband and I loved our stay here. The location was a perfect spot for us to easily hike the Muir Woods National Park, explore San Francisco, and also pop up to some wineries. We also enjoyed the ability to walk to restaurants and shops. Would absolutely recommend this studio to anyone traveling to the area! Thanks for the lovely stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at the cozy studio. Other than the construction next door, it had all we needed for a good visit with our daughter. Great bed.

Clean, comfy bed, close to sweetwater music hall, great price for the area

This property was close to sweetwater music hall which we were attending for 3 nights at the end of the new year. Very clean and excellent bed. Kitchenette was nice. I would recommend adding some walkway lighting along pathway to property frontdoor. It was kind of difficult to navigate at night time. Parking was a downside also. We didnt have too much of a problem but we had to move our vehicle multiple times which in the rain was a downer. There is public parking listed in the check in guide which was helpful but is a 5 minute brisk walk from the property. Another downside is this property has tenants that reside above or next to this space which you can hear through the walls. Luckily they were kind of on our schedule and stayed up late and didnt make noise until late morning/early afternoon. We enjoyed our stay, however, I do not forsee us visiting mill valley again, but if we were to ever return to the area we would consider booking this property again. Thank you for opening your property up to us.

Clean and convenient but quirky

Comfy bed and pillows and close to all amenities. Some minor inconveniences were that the light switch for the room was halfway inside the room which was dark when I arrived so it was hard to find. Couldn’t find coffee although there was a coffee maker. Plug for kitchen sink didn’t seal basin. Otherwise a nice rental. Didn’t communicate with property manager although this form forced me to fill it in.

Great location as described

Great place to come back to after a day out and as described. San Francisco quick 30+ minute drive to the south and great hiking and beaches to the north.. apartment is centrally located in town, walkable to anything. Shoutout the 2AM Club!

Convenient and spacious

I stayed here 4 nights. The room was, as advertised, two blocks from downtown Mill Valley. In other words, super well located. It's a no-frills apartment but spacious with lots of closet and drawer space and an extremely comfortable firm bed. Microwave and refrigerator worked perfectly for my needs. Also I should add that communication with the property manager was very quick, clear and helpful.

Construction noise next door

Although this is a convenient location, and clean, there was loud construction noise next door. The owner did refund one night of my 6 night stay.

It was ok and a fair price for the area

It was a great neighborhood. Sort of a stripped down rental. -0- info on the area. We received the code many days early and upon arrival found the code on the entry lock and on the printed information inside the rental. How long has this code been used? All was clean but not inviting. Tv did not work. No instructions. Long term renters which we did not realize above. No parking at the unit.

Mill Valley Studio

This studio was in a very convenient location in a very nice part of Mill Valley. It is just a short walk to many places to eat and shop. It is also a very short walk to the lovely Old Mill Park. It is a 10 to 15 minute drive to Sausalito. The studio is basically a bedroom and bathroom. There is an alcove with a few dishes, small frig and microwave. Not really set up for cooking but worked for our needs. I was glad that we found economical place in a nice location.

Mill Valley stay

Place was adequate for what we needed, We didn't use kitchen but it didn't look like any real cooking could be done. Bed was comfortable. Shower was adequate. Bathroom small. Overall, good place to stay in Mill Valley if just need to sleep, shower & watch TV at end of day. Across from Lumber Mill which is great place to shop and eat and only about three blocks walk to town square which is really nice and lots of restaurants and shops. Close to Muir Woods and many other places to see and things to do.

Amazing Location in Mill Valley

The location couldn't be better---across from restaurants and shops at Old Mill Lumberyard and a quick walk to MV downtown. The studio is not fancy, but it was clean and had everything we needed. Lynn's assistant Brenda was very responsive and helpful when I contacted her with questions. I would stay here again on my next visit to Mill Valley.

Perfect simple staging ground for adventures

We came to mill valley with our 1 year old for a wedding and this spot was perfect! Everything we needed, convenient to cafes and a good place to stay to explore the Bay Area.

We have been living in the bay area for the past 15 years, in San Francisco for 14 of them so please ask us for insider tips if you plan to visit SF. We got married in Mill Valley, adopted our dog in Mill Valley, and are now back living here with 2 kids. I do marketing consulting for natural food and beverage companies and love to play tennis and hike. My husband is a software engineer who loves kite surfing and playing the drums. We have two boys who love to swim, and ride around with us on our bikes.
