House of TarTar is our prince frog logo for guests to remember our location. Just 25 minutes from Lake Michigan and Dunes National Park. An hour to Chicago via transportation downtown. There are multiple free parking spots off the main street to this property. Ramp to back entrance of home.

This was by far one of the best places I have stayed. Everything was clean and beautiful. From the quaint quiet neighborhood, to extremely comfy beds everything was perfect. It truly felt like a home away from home. My father cannot use stairs so the fact there was a ramp, bedroom on the first floor, and a walk-in shower with a seat was extremely helpful. Anytime I messaged the hosts they were very responsive. I will most definitely rent this home again for future stays.

We had a great time at the house of Tar Tar. It was in a wonderful neighborhood and a beautiful house. It had absolutely everything we needed and some great food recommendations that we enjoyed. We would love to come back.

This is a charming and convenient home for our visits to Valparaiso. Everything is amazing—we have no complaints at all. We wish we could come to Valpo more often now that we’ve discovered this home away from home!

Wonderful stay for a youth conference nearby. Host and hostess are above and beyond meeting the needs of the property. We will stay again if it will work out.

This is a lovely home for spending the weekend in Valpo. The beds are comfy. The home is cozy. And the hosts provide a lot of little amenities that make staying in a rental even easier and enjoyable. We loved the Tiffany style lamps and art in the home. We even enjoyed seeing and hearing the chickens in the coop out back :) We didn't ask for any eggs, but would totally do that the next time!

Beautiful home with the most comfortable beds! My grandkids loved seeing the chickens and a couple of bunnies outside. The house is set up easily for someone who needs a ramp and large shower on the first floor; wide doorways as well. Plenty of hot water! Plenty of outdoor space for all! We never felt cramped inside or out. Quiet neighborhood. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub. The house is so close to downtown; perfect location! Everything about this place was easy. Loved our hosts! I would choose to stay here again!

House was beautiful and set up nicely- great location for us coming into town to visit several family members that live in town so we were close to everything including the charming downtown!! Sitting in the hot tub while watching snow lightly falling was an incredible bonus!
