What a fantastic place for our family of 5 to stay! Our kids LOVED running around with the chickens, exploring the property, and playing with the owner's small children!!

Beautiful and clean property! We enjoyed the fire pit each night. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms had everything you’d need for an enjoyable stay. We used the restaurant, winery, and beach list provided to maximize our stay. The owners were very nice and responded quickly to our messages.

This place was awesome, nice and cozy, but has plenty of private areas so you dont feel like your on top of eachother, the queen bed was super comfy. Definitely a kid friendly place and that exactly what we were looking for! We enjoyed our time I will absolutely book again in the future!

Great property, just as advertised. Amazing communication. The owners said hi and offered us fresh eggs and raspberries! Highly recommend this rental.

Great stay

Wonderful property, great location. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to stay near Chicago without Chicago pricing!

Cute little place in the country. Short drive to a variety of beaches. The pick your own raspberries and dozen farm fresh eggs was a delightful touch. I’d gladly stay there again.

I came for a personal writing retreat and enjoyed my stay immensely. Pristine space with so many luxurious details and decor. The grounds are beautiful and filled with a variety of birds. I felt really pampered. Thank you!

The Perfect Stay to Getaway

The Good Farm Barn was the perfect spot for the start of our family road trip. From the tire swing to the chickens, this will be a place our kids remember forever. Everything was perfect and would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from the craziness of everyday life. Thank you Taryn and Kirby and kids for being amazing hosts.

We recommend this place 100%

This place was an amazing alternative to any hotels/motels in the area at a very reasonable price. The amenities are abundant and everything was very clean. If you are looking for a little more space for yourself and/or your family with peace and quiet just outside town, this is the place. The farm fresh eggs were a nice touch too.

Family Adventure

We did not have an agenda other than to visit the Indiana Dunes National Park. We was a short drive from wherever we wanted to go. The rental was quiet, cozy and very peaceful. We loved the opportunity to pick raspberries in the evening. It was a very relaxing trip.

Highly recommended for Indiana Dunes NP

We stayed here for three nights while visiting Indian Dunes National Park. We loved the space and it was only 10 minutes to West Beach. It was comfortable for our family of three. The host was very responsive and took good care of us. We will definitely book again if we are back in the area!

We had a great stay! The farm atmosphere, raspberry picking, fresh farm eggs etc. everything was great. If I thought oh they should have this….. I would find it. Details not missed. I even laughed at a tom cat howling. Haven’t heard that in a minute. It was a short howl don’t worry. Nice quiet place to stay. Immaculately clean which I appreciate greatly.

Amazing Hosts, and Peaceful Farm

We loved everything about our stay on the good farm. We stayed in the barn condo and it was perfect. The two beds in the loft are great and provided a cool spot for our children. The host were SUPER accommodating and allowed us to park our large trailer during the stay. The location is perfect and only a short drive to downtown Valparaiso. We also visited Indiana Dunes State park which was beautiful. I would recommend Kirby and Taryn as a host to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay. Our best Experience Yet!

We really enjoyed this property because it was out in the country but not too far from the beach. The space was awesome particularly because we had access to a really nice home gym, laundry room, and additional bathroom. Our family loved the updated decor along with the farm feel. Our kids really enjoyed playing with the motorized toys and the owners children. We also loved the fresh eggs and picking blackberries and raspberries. It was relaxing and felt very private even though the owners live on the property as well.
