Sand Castle beach resort.

We enjoyed our stay. Location was great. Apartment is spacious and very well equipped. I only has a suggestion to fix some of the little things like the doors of the cabinets, caulking around shower, shower head pressure and other minor maintenance things.

Enjoyable getaway!

Wonderful location on the beach. Clean accommodations that were comfortable and well stocked. Lovely relaxing vacation spot!

Relaxation

Superbly located near the beach, yet fairly private. Nice and roomy, kitchen functional, the lanai large and relaxing.

Relaxing Getaway

Perfect location to relax. Quiet area and beach is not crowded. Many restaurants/shopping nearby. Plenty of space in condo for 4 adults. Management was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect and special kudos for our front desk Ted he gave us the right information to where to go and things we could do during our stay. We have a blast. We will come back👍

RVA was great, even though I was upset with what happened. Beach Castle was a nice condo building, it was clean and comfortable. The beach chairs and umbrellas were great along with the grill. We had a leak in the guest shower and it was fixed as soon as we reported it.

The other side of the property has the pool and harbor access. Too expensive to book for next year.

Perfect Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Can't beat the location. Unit could use some tlc but ultimately the beach access, walking distance to tennis, pickleball, restaurants, and sunsets outweigh the old grout, and tired linens and appliances. Chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas provided. Owners as well as management really seem to want your vacation to be great and that counts for a lot!

Best Vacation EVER!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental was clean, beautifully decorated, perfectly situated with a stunning view of the gulf to wake up to every morning. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. We loved having turtles and a variety of exotic birds to watch from our screened in porch. The location of this condo made it so convenient to run back and grab anything we forgot when we were playing at the beach. Loved the split bedroom layout. It was a quiet and restful environment. Just what we needed.

Great Location

This was my first time renting at Beach Castle. It was cleaned and well presented. My only criticism is that the place had an odor. The master bath had a strong odor as well. I did informed housekeeping when we checked out. Hopefully they’ll take care of before the next guests. You can’t beat the location and the quiet beach. I don’t think I’ll be returning because I think the price it’s to high.

Returning family guest, birthday trip.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was not clean at all and had a dingy smell upon entering that didn’t go away. We had to purchase air freshener. Porch was so dirty (dead roaches as well) we couldn’t use it. Garbage disposal and many of the electrical outlets (master, kitchen, living room) did not work. Only one functioning lamp in the living room. Most of the kitchen items were dirty and/or need to replaced. You can’t beat the location and the kids enjoy the pool. We love this area and have stayed in other units here without a problem, but this unit, we will never rent again.

Beautiful beach

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed in this unit a few times now and after this last visit, I will not be renting unit one. The pros: great proximity to the beach, very easy to walk to and from your room to the beach. The cons: as other reviewers have stated, this unit is dirty. It could use a very deep cleaning. I stayed here previously in September 2022 and I found live cockroaches. Same thing on this most recent trip- every single day we found either a dead cockroach, or a live cockroach. I think they were coming up through a hole in the base of the toilet where there should’ve been a screw (guest bathroom). We finally plugged the hole with toilet paper hoping for no more roaches. Also, in the guest bathroom, the shower and/or toilet smelled of sewer gas very badly. To the point that i could not sleep in the bedroom bc the smell kept me awake. For the amount of money spent (over $600 per night), these should not be problems to deal with.

Unit 1

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the location. It is pretty clear that this is a rental. The pans were in bad shape, the garbage can lid was broken, the laundry baskets were broken, and we had to do a lot of cleaning when we arrived. But my wife is a clean freak. An example was dirty placemats on the table. Sinks were not clean in the bathrooms or kitchen and one shower had mold in the corners. Other little annoying things, were the clock on the wall had a dead battery and mismatched wine glasses, plates, and coffee cups. We went and bought a cheese grater and wine opener and a few other utensils we just left there. A bigger issue for me was the pillowcases were too small for the pillows, so part of the pillow would stick out. A couple of hundred people probably have used the pillow, so that was unpleasant. For the price they charge per week, the place could use a little love. All that being said.... We are going again next year. We LOVE the location and life on Long Boat. The beach is very quiet and the location was peaceful. No large or loud parties anywhere close. Sean at the office was very helpful and friendly. We found a restaurant on the north end of the island. Mar Vista. It is a must-see awesome food and atmosphere. Salarnos Pizza was good too. Get the garlic knots. You will love the sunsets, they are beautiful and right out your door.

Somewhat disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at beach castle for several years, in several different units. The beach castle area is wonderful, loved the close access to the beach and the pool, and the bay close by is wonderful as well. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the unit, the upkeep of the unit and the response from RVA. 1. We checked the booking of the condo for the night before our arrival and saw there it was not rented the night before, so I contacted RVA about an early checkin. I was told that a supervisor had to check the unit and would get back to me. 3 hours later I had not heard anything. We decided to drive to beach castle and see if we could talk to someone, only to find out that it is managed by RVA and beach castle people can’t help us, so I called again and was told that the supervisor hadn’t responded, but they would let us know. We walked over to the unit to look around and someone showed up checking the unit. He said it was clean but that he had to check the TVs. (Will come back to this later) we were able to get the early checkin so that was nice. When we got into the unit, it appeared ok on the surface. The fridge is very rusted on the front of the door and the drawers are broken. We also found that the dishes in the cabinets were all dirty. We had to rewash each dish prior to using it. We also found there was trash and items under the beds and couches that hadn’t been swept from prior renters. Beds were made and everything else appeared that the cleaners had already come in, they just didn’t clean very thoroughly. We also discovered that the tv in the living room moved incredibly slow, and the two bedroom TVs did not work. I called RVA and they came out after two days. The other tv they scheduled someone to come fix between 8-10am and they never showed. I called back and never heard back the rest of the trip. Outside the unit there were nasty wasps. I asked if someone could come spray. No one came.
