We spent a wonderful week at the lake house! The house was very clean and a perfect setup for our group of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids). We loved the common spaces, and the basement activities were amazing and kept everyone entertained. The lake was clean and great for swimming, and our boys had lots of success fishing! We also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board, and we appreciated the life jackets which were provided in many sizes. Janine was an amazing and responsive host, and she went out of her way to provide lots of helpful information. It was such a nice surprise to see a welcome basket that was tailored to our dietary needs which we truly appreciated. The kitchen was also well-equipped for cooking lots of meals. Overall we had an unforgettable stay, and we would love to return!

Great view

The view overlooking the lake was breath taking. The place was very clean with a lot of games, entertiamment and activities (canoe and paddle boat) to keep everyone happy. We had an amazing time. Would stay here again.

Comfortable, relaxing, entertaining, we will be back !

We had a great time despite the very cold and cloudy weather. The view on the lake is very relaxing and since there are a lot of games we spent a lot of time in this cosy house. We want to come back in summer time to enjoy the lake ! We recommend this house without hesitation.

Reunion Weekend

We were a small group of friends who had a short weekend getaway at this amazing lake front home. It was clean and had everything we needed for our trip. The host left wine and snacks and quickly responded to the few questions we had. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Lakehouse

My friends and I loved staying at Janine’s lake house. The views from the dining room and outside relaxing on the lawn are great. Comfortably slept 8 adults. Fun game room. Excellent location close to hiking and river tubing (check out Lou’s tubes)! Beautiful house for some quality time together.

Wonderful lakefront chalet

We had a great time at this lakeside home. The house was attractive, clean and comfortable and was full of thoughtful touches. Everybody had fun swimming and kayaking on the lake. And in the evening we played ping pong and air hockey. Thank you for a wonderful vacation - hope to be back!

Wedding Weekend Getaway

Pristinely kept property with updated kitchen and bathrooms. Nicely appointed with communicative property owner. Nice space can easily accommodate a family and /or friends comfortably. We had a family wedding and it was nice for our immediate family to all stay together as part of the experience.

Amazing lake house

Great Lake house!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful lake house. The swimming was fun, there were kayaks for all and lots of games in the basement for the boys. The adults enjoyed the sun porch and the beautiful sunsets. The house was well equipped and very comfortable as well as spotless. We hope to be back next summer.

Family and friends family vaccination

Loved watching the lake front sunset from the sunroom and from the deck. Enjoyed kayaking during dusk and fishing in the lake. The house is clean and warm, feels like home…. It was very quiet and enjoyable definitely recommend for a short getaway from busy city life like NYC.

Beautiful home

We had a wonderful weekend. House well stocked (the only thing we needed was small plates for cocktail hour snacks and dessert). Beds were comfortable. Tons of room. Game room was super fun. Views were beautiful. We would go back 💖

Amazing property

We all had an amazing time at this property for our friends get away. The host of the property was very nice, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. There was a welcome basket and complimentry refreshments upon arrival. The game room in the basement was a huge highlight for fun as well as the gorgous sun room. All the beds were comfortable and fresh and clean. The view of the lake was amazing and we couldnt if asked for a better destination to be staying.

Beautiful property!

Both the house and lake are absolutely gorgeous! The big sunroom has amazing views of the lake, as do two of the bedrooms. Plenty of outdoor seating on patio and by firepit overlooking the water. We were three families with kids ranging from 4 months- 9 years old and there was something for everyone. Very close by, there is a beach for swimming with a bar/restaurant ($5 cash admission). Janine was very communicative and responsive!

Great house

We had a great stay at the lake house. The house is clean and well cared for. Comfy beds. Well stocked kitchen with great appliances. The game room is fun with lots to do. The location is amazing. The view of the lake is spectacular. Communication with owner was easy, clear and responsive. Pictures are accurate but don’t do it justice, it’s even better in person!

Gorgeous Lake House

The property is beautiful and well maintained, there is a lot of space for hanging out, playing games, and the outdoor amenities are awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunroom everyday, it was possibly the best view I've had in all my vacation stays. There were some minor hiccups but were addressed by the property manager. Customer service was great! Overall, it was a hit for all the guests and we'd 100% return.

Great stay at the Lake House

We loved our time here! The view is awesome, the house itself is lovely and well cared for, and there are so many thoughtful touches for guests to really enjoy their stay. We used the kayaks, pedal boat, fire pit, all the games downstairs - and the board games in the sun room. We were sad to leave, but on our way out we saw an eagle soaring across the lake… such a great send off! Thank you for the generous welcome basket, and the birthday greetings for my son! He was so surprised :) We really appreciated all your efforts to make our stay special in this wonderful home!

Beautiful Lake House

This was our second time at this beautiful lake house. The house is large and spacious and nicely decorated. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has everything needed for meals. The sunroom is cozy, with great views of the lake where you can see beautiful sunsets while eating dinner. The game room downstairs is amazing! There is something for everyone to enjoy, young and old. The owner is very quick to respond, and very helpful and accomodating. I definitely recommend this house, you won't be disappointed!! We are hoping to return again!

Fabulous House on the Lake

Such a cozy lakefront home with beautiful views of the lake. We were greeted with a Welcome Basket full of goodies, wine, even a dog toy for our dog, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers! My family and I felt right at home the minute we walked thru the front door and enjoyed our time tremendously! The game room in the basement was fabulous and enjoyed by all. The homeowner was Always Quick to Respond to any questions and very helpful. The house was very clean. I recommend this house; you will not be disappointed. We are already planning another visit!

Family Wedding at Mountain View Manor

Excellent location, close to venue. Very clean, Bright, open, well kept, nice linens, towels, excellent pillows and bedding. Lots of room. Lake was beautiful, very clean and kayaks were much appreciated. Eagles were amazing, saw woodchucks also. Many deer. Very quiet area which is awesome. Would recommend that you bring food and drink if you plan on staying in, as stores are a bit of a drive away. My only regret is that we did not stay a few days longer to really explore the area. I would not hesitate to book again

Hot lake house

Very nice accomodations, clean, with alot of ammenities. However, only 2 portable airconditioning units were not up to the task to cool the house down much in the heat of summer. My bathroom registered 99 degrees at 10 pm most nights. Also, no toaster??

We regret that the AC/airflow situation, which was clearly explained in the house guide and also communicated via text, and verbally, seemed to have a negative impact on your stay. It appears that you may have overlooked the recommendation to close the sunroom doors during the afternoon, as the room is designed to let in sunlight with an unobstructed view of the lake. Throughout your stay, we accommodated your requests for beach towels, garbage bags, and an air fryer. However, you never mentioned any issues with the temperature in the house or requested a toaster. Unfortunately, your lack of communication prevented us from providing the level of comfort you deserved. Even before your arrival, we made several inquiries about your specific needs for the booking, but received no response. Moreover, your party arrived an hour and 30 minutes before the designated check-in time without prior notice. Additionally, without seeking permission, you took it upon yourselves to enter our utility room (clearly marked as "Keep out") in search of tools to fix a drawer that was broken by your party. and the dog hair and damage from your dogs was disappointing as we spoke in length about the houses dog rules. Regarding the toaster, we would like to clarify that the air fryer you specifically requested does have a toast setting. Furthermore, the house is equipped with an array of amenities, including two coffee machines, two blenders, an ice maker, a popcorn machine, an electric kettle, and a frother, which we have provided based on the preferences and needs of our past guests. Ensuring a clutter-free countertop, we try to consolidate machines with the same basic functions. Our primary objective is to offer exceptional hospitality and provide an enjoyable experience for our guests. However, achieving this goal becomes challenging when concerns are expressed solely through reviews after the fact, rather than in real-time when they could have been promptly addressed.

I can not say enough great things about this house. Janine has thought of everything. My nine girlfriends and I had our annual girls' trip here for a weekend in July. We spent both days in the water, swimming and lounging in tubes. The back deck was a beautiful place to have coffee in the morning and watch the sunset at night. It rained for a short time, and it was nice to have the covered porch in the front of the house. The basement has a wide selection of games to play. I loved the air hockey and the driving game. She left a nice note and a generous basket of snacks and drinks for us, as well as bug spray, ponchos, lanterns, etc. All of the beds were very comfortable, and the place is immaculate. We are definitely renting again.

I am from Queens NY and I bought this house after taking a trip to a house across the lake for my birthday during covid. We wanted to go somewhere close just to get away for a few days and came across this lake. It was winter when we stayed, but the location and lake stayed in our minds. After seeing the view from the sunroom we knew this was the house for us. Originally the view was not the focal point of the house but after some strategic renovations we were able to get that view as a focal point as soon as you walk through the door. The house was designed to pull you in to the open lake view in the sunroom. Many of the furniture pieces were thrifted from NYC residents and refinished to fit in with the soothing relaxing vibe of the lake house. When designing the rec room, I wanted to add all the fun games my family loves to play together. We also designed the gaming section of the room for my son, who is an avid video gamer, so I made sure the TV was extra large. This also serves so that my loud gamer is downstairs and the movie watchers upstairs. Board games and puzzles are great played in the sunroom while we bird watch and enjoy the views and watch the boats and water sports from the great open view. I really designed this house for enjoying time in the beauty of nature with my family and I feel like that's what the house gives. The house itself has that peaceful fun cozy good time feeling, and any one who stays always catches the houses awesome vibe. I love hosting families like my own who just want to get away and hang out together. Come and enjoy!

I chose this area after staying in a house across the lake during the winter. I woke up early and through the windows you could see nothing but the sun light sparkling on snow flakes falling. It looked like a snow globe that had been shaken and was breath taking. The lake is well maintained and the wildlife is amazing. The eagles, hawks and other big birds of prey are constantly drawing your eyes to the sky and are just majestic and entertaining to watch. Its so peaceful and gorgeous during the winter and being out on the water is fun and exciting during the summer. The sunsets are absolutely stunning. The area is a bit rural but the grocery store nearby is up to date and has a great selection even for my vegan family members so we have enough variety for everyone.

I think the view and the game room makes my house stand out from the rest. The view is just breath taking. The eagles and hawks come and hang out in the tree right in front of the big picture windows. They fish in the lake and just show off their amazing wingspan and hunting skills. The gameroom provides hours of fun and the TV for the gamers can keep kids busy for endless amounts of time while the adults can enjoy relaxing and have their own space as well.
