Peaceful Escapes and Retreats

Welcome to our escape! The house is a perfect place to experience nature yet still have access to all the conveniences of city life! The queen beds & spacious walk-in shower are so welcoming.

A deck overlooks a 1/2 acre pond that is spring-fed and stocked with trout, so try some fishing! If that isn't enough for you, private hiking access to state land is just across the street or five minutes down the road is battleground lake, where you can swim or fish there.
It’s pure relaxation!

Everything went smoothly. We arrived in the evening and it was dark. We were able to get in and communicate regularly. When we had questions, the answer came quickly via text. We were able to take two labs and we were all comfortable. I would stay there again.

The property was very special but just not convenient for the average visitor to Battle Ground. Very doable but just not something you would want to do two or three times a day. Just come prepared to cook in, hang out and enjoy the peace an quiet.

The unit was modern nice finishes. The unit had a cat smell. The bedroom on the left is definitely the worst. The shower you have to get in and turn on the water and hurry up and get out before you get wet, did not like that. The unit is in battleground, but it is definitely away from everything. Up in the mountains. You are on the property with the owner. They were building a new road onto the property. By the pitch, it looks like the pond is closer than what it is. You can walk down and around the lake and on the property. Which was nice. I did enjoy my stay there.

Thank you for your review. Yes we had guest with a cat prior to your stay with us that really messed the room you mentioned up. We thought it had been cleaned and cleared up before you arrived but we’ll get the carpets professionally cleaned now. We have since banned all cats from the house. Sometimes, like in your case, we have to flip the house quickly and do the best we can to provide a clean experience for you without canceling your rental due to a previous renters abuse. Again, thank you for tye review and the house floors are being professionally cleaned.

Woodsy retreat for parents in town

My parents enjoyed their stay. They had coffee on the deck over looking the pond and enjoyed the company of the friendly Ruby Sunshine, the hosts dog. They would definitely stay there again!

This cute and cozy home was a perfect respite for hanging out with my mom. We also got lucky with a night of Northern Light's !!! Ruby the owners dog is sweet angel who protects the place.

Perfectly Cozy Bungalow!

I booked this place because of taking a class nearby. It’s quiet, well furnished, has a beautiful view, and the host Trent is very helpful! It has a kitchen and laundry room, so I was even able pack my clothes home clean!

Perfect Getaway

This home is adorable and so comfortable. It truly had everything we needed for a weekend city escape. The hosts are also super kind and responsive. The cherry on top is Ruby Sunshine - make sure to give her some good "girl pets", you wont regret it!

My husband and I found ourselves very comfortable in this cute cottage. It had everything we needed. We will definitely be back and book again. Trent the owner was very accommodating to our needs.

My new puppy enjoyed it…nice family

Very clean! Hosts very accommodating to me and an eight-week-old Golden retriever. The host retriever Ruby is a lovely dog and very sweet.

There was four of us, for a three night stay. We had an event at the Saddle Club, about 7 miles away, and it worked out well. It was a quick ride and so much better than a hotel. Two bedrooms, the queen beds were comfortable. Nice shower, TV, WlFi. Lunch out on the deck was very quiet and peaceful. Definitely would stay there again. lIf you’re a dog lover, Ruby is the sweetest!!

Stayed for 4 nights while fishing

We stayed here during a fishing trip at Lake Merwin. It seemed to be a good, central location between the lake (37 minutes) and the town of Battle Ground (15 minutes) if we needed groceries/supplies. The property is on a private dead end road and was clean, tidy and quiet. The hosts are super friendly and responded quickly to anything we needed. Their dog, Ruby Sunshine, is the sweetest girl. There was room for our truck and 18' boat/trailer, although it could be a little tricky backing everything into the driveway for the inexperienced, and the paved road leading to the property is very steep. I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again if/ when I return.

10/10 Recommend!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay and fell in love with Washington! This little slice of heaven was nestled away in the countryside and backed up to breathtaking views. It was so quiet and peaceful…literally a breath of fresh air. Everything was so clean and Trent, was so accommodating. He made sure we were 100% happy and comfortable. Also miss Ruby Sunshine, the owners golden retriever was the cherry on top! If you like dogs, you will LOVE her, by far the best greeting committee we have seen. We can’t wait to visit again!

Our hosts was considerate and very helpful. The property is secluded, quiet and comfortable. We loved it as a great "basecamp" from which we could access family visits, hikes and outdoor activities. The kitchen allowed us to prepare simple meals that suited us well. There is a grill, but we did not use it in our 10 day stay. If you have the chance, be sure to plan an "escape" here.
