Renovated home minutes from shopping & entertainment

Need a place for the whole family, or perhaps a large group? This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home sleeps 14 and is full to the brim with character & charm!

It was built in the early 1900s, in the modern craftsman style and recently renovated. You’re central to midtown KC, which has plenty of restaurants, two museums & shopping. With nearly 3,000 square feet, there’s room for everyone in this clean & comfortable home.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire home, which is equipped with high-speed 1 gig google fiber WiFi and smart home features. The home has Sonos speakers throughout to enjoy your favorite music. Each level (there are 3 total) is outfitted with its own thermostat, making it easy for guests to control the heat/AC to their individual comfort.

The front door opens up to the expansive living and dining room, equipped with comfortable furniture, a 60” TV, a fireplace, and dining area for up to 6 people. Through the living room is an entryway to the main kitchen, complete with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, Keurig coffee system, and all the necessities for cooking a simple at-home meal (toaster, pots and pans, cutlery, cups, plates, bowls, etc). There’s also a small breakfast bar, perfect for serving up brunch! The back door to the home is through the kitchen as well. Next to the kitchen, you’ll find a half bathroom.

Up the stairs, on the second floor is where you’ll find the first set of bedrooms, including a spacious master bathroom. The master bath is equipped with an extra large, deep soaking tub, and a separate standing shower, not to mention essentials such as plush towels, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body soap. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with plush bedding & a small seating area. There are two more bedrooms on the second floor, along with a full bathroom and laundry closet. This bathroom has the essentials (clean towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body soap), and comes equipped with a tub/shower combo. One of the bedrooms has a king sized bed with plush bedding. The other is equipped with bunk beds and another twin sized bed. Of course, all the bedrooms come with fresh sheets, pillows, and plenty of blankets to keep you warm!

On the third floor is one more bedroom with a queen bed. The third floor also boasts a huge family room with a large sectional and tv and balcony overlooking the large backyard.

The House features 24 hour secure access. Guest entrance doors are equipped with WiFi enabled locks set to a secure code unique to you during your stay. We want all guests to feel safe and enjoy their stay.

Host interaction is minimal to non-existent. We are always available (during daytime hours) for questions and guest needs; we are also available to contact for issues or emergencies. If you need any recommendations, we are only a phone call or email away.

The Property is located in the heart of the Old Hyde Park neighborhood. The area was “annexed by Kansas City in 1897 as part of a large tract of land” according to the Old Hyde Park Historic District Neighborhood Association. Many different architectural styles can be found in the houses in this area. You’re only a short drive to the Nelson Atkins Art Museum, The Plaza Shopping district, and much more! Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadiums are 6.5 miles away, or about 19 minutes by car.

Being situated between Country Club Plaza and downtown, Uber rides will be a minimal expense. You can also bike or drive to many beautiful sites from the House.
*6 minute drive to the Plaza or Westport.
*5 minutes to all major interstates in the Kansas City area.
*6 minute drive to Nelson Atkins Art Museum, Kemper Museum for Contemporary Art, and The Kansas City Art Institute.
*19 minutes to Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium.
*30 minutes to Kansas City International Airport and most anything else in KC.

We do monitor noise level in the House, to be considerate of our neighbors. Our system does NOT record audio or visual; it simply monitors the decibel level and alerts us should it get too loud for the residential neighborhood.

BUNK BED SAFETY WARNINGS: There are certain risks associated with using a bunk bed and bunk bed ladder, and guests agree that use is at their own risk. The property owner assumes no responsibility for personal loss, injury, or illness of any kind which may result from the use of the bunk bed and ladder. The owners are not liable for any accidents occurring. Parents with children should be especially cautioned regarding ladder use and agree to accept all responsibility for minors. While not an exhaustive list of precautions, guests agree to follow these industry standards: 1) Use of top bunk is limited to occupants 6 years or older; 2) Use of top bunk is limited to 1 occupant and a maximum 175lb weight; 3) No jumping or other horseplay on or around the bed; 4) Always use the ladder for entering and leaving the upper bunk.

We ask that guests strip all beds and start a load of laundry in the washer before departure. All dishes must be done; please run the dishwasher upon departure. All trash must be put outside in the trash bins. Please break down ANY BOXES for recycling (we can recycle cardboard and plastic). NO GLASS.
Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. We request that all guests be respectful and courteous of our neighbors. Please move indoors at 10pm or keep noise to a normal conversation level.
No parties; No 21st birthday groups.
No amplified music is allowed outdoors.
We are a non-smoking facility (smoking is not allowed in rooms or on room decks and is restricted to an outdoor first floor designated area). Any evidence of violation of this policy will result in a $500 fine.
No pets (including service animals).

Love this property

We love staying at this home and at the home next door. We have had the opportunity to try both and they are great. The host of this property is wonderful.

Renovated Historic Urban KC stay

Clean and cozy inside. Nicely renovated. Tight squeeze when trying to park our van behind the house. Street parking was taken up by neighbors. Home is close to downtown, fun restaurants and coffee shops.

Great Hosts! Great Location!

I can't say enough about the hosts; the AC in the house works very well; however, I like it freezing... they arranged for a portable unit to be placed in the master bedroom (at no cost) - they went above and beyond. Everything in the house was in very good repair and I recevied regualr communication making sure all was well. The space was huge and the pics did match what was in the house... there were no surprises. Very good stay for a group of co-workers...

Wonderful House and Magnificent Host

The house was spectacular. The host were great. We were having a hard time with the front door lock and the host contacted me immediately before I could even contact them. We really enjoy this home and definitely will be back.

This historic home has been newly renovated and has a gorgeously styled Mid-Century feel! There are plenty of beds for a your group and the open-concept common areas make it easy to entertain. If you have an extra large group, we also rent out the property right next door!

Our private parking lot is always a huge plus! Many of the homes in the area utilize the free street parking, but we're happy to offer a private lot behind the home for you and your guests! We are ideally located in Midtown, near the nightlife and restaurants of Westport, the top Art Museums in the area (with free entry!), and the historic Country Club Plaza!
