Our New Favorite Beach House

This is the second time we have stayed at the Sea Pearl. We love staying here the location is perfect. Plenty of room with everyone having their own bathroom. I will have to say that the front left room with the walk in shower the water pressure is really low but the other showers were not like that. But all in all we will stay there agin if available.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was perfect for our family vacation. Layout was great and everyone had their own bathroom! Very clean and quick walk to beach! Jamie from Forgotten Shores was very responsive, friendly and attentive! Golf cart was a huge plus as we never had to take our cars anywhere. Outside area was great to relax by pool after beach time.

Exceeded expectations

Although our stay was cut short by Helene, this property is AMAZING and we cannot wait to go back. The property is very well cared for, has everything you need and more! The location is wonderful with a path right across the street all the way to the beach.

The only real disappointment during our stay was the condition of the pool and fire pit.When we arrived, the pool water was very low and the bottom of the pool was filled with sand. I’m not sure when the pool cleaners were scheduled to come, or if they came at all, but the sand was never removed from the bottom of the pool during our stay. We ultimately had to add water to the pool ourselves.The following morning, the pool was also filled with bugs. There was a pool net provided for guests to use, but it had no netting on it, so it was completely unusable. I’m not sure why it was hanging by the pool in that condition. These are things I would expect to be checked and addressed before guests arrive.We were also looking forward to using the fire pit during our stay. It certainly wasn’t because we needed it for warmth—the weather was extremely hot—but it was something we were looking forward to enjoying. Unfortunately, we were disappointed again to find that the fire pit wasn’t working.Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the pool and fire pit issues were disappointing and took away from some of the amenities we were expecting to be able to enjoy. A little more attention to the maintenance and inspection of these amenities before guests arrive would have made a significant difference.

The house was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The pool and outdoor space were wonderful. The master bathroom vanity (right) had no hot water. The hot water in the house was not sufficient for six adults. The center ceiling fan on the front porch is not in working order. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and will definitely return.

The property manager, Lindsey was awesome. We had 2 very minor issues, that she took care of immediately. She made sure everything was perfect about our stay.

Clean and a lot of amenities

Clean and a lot of amenities. The beds were squeaky and not super comfortable for us, but there was a ton of room! There were a lot of plates, silverware, etc, but no oven mitts for cooking. The pool is really nice and clean, but it is on the east side of the house and gets blocked from the sun after lunch, which make it a little on the cold side to swim later in the season.

We looked at all the options available, and settles on Sea Pearl. We're so glad we did! The house was very new and clean with all the amenities you could ask for. It was clean and fresh and had the basics of what you would need to start your vacation. We only complain and unfortunately a big complaint, s that the new mattress box springs on every bed is extremely squeaky so much so that every move makes loud squeaks that would wake up your partner. Besides that it was perfect.

Nice Place

Proximity to all things on SGI was great. The house is new without a doubt, but the furniture has already taken some heavy use and wear n tear. Several pool furniture pieces are falling apart and chairs were unsafe to sit in, even for children. The beds are very uncomfortable, and the furniture creaks. We couldn't figure out what was making the beds feel so hot at night, until the last few days we realized it's the mattress covers. Some mattress toppers would help the overall bed feel more comfortable and definitely changing those mattress covers to some breathable or cooling fabric. The house struggles to stay cool, so make sure you're closing doors behind you. The house is big, all guests will have privacy without a doubt. Microwave didn't work when were there (but a small countertop was provided), and the dishwasher sometimes had to be ran twice.

Great property. We really enjoyed ourselves. House had everything we needed. Only thing we would improve on would be to add some fans in the patio area and a little more lighting on the stairs at night.
