This house is clean. The elevator is a nice convenience. However, this house has NOTHING other than what is listed. There are no beach chairs (you must rent them), no salt/pepper, there's not enough wash cloths and none in the kitchen. You will need to buy dish soap, wash cloths, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, etc. Even though the 5pm check in time is extremely late and they strictly observe that time, we were able to get in with the inspector at a reasonable time (thank goodness-we had screaming babies).

Family Beach Week

This was our 3rd in a row staying at Second Wind and it was another amazing year. The house is beautiful, and has a perfect design. The upstairs lofts are perfect for the kids, and the common area is perfect for the whole family to gather. Cape and Coast were great -super responsive to any questions or issues. I highly recommend this house.

We had a party of 9, we did a guys fishing trip we came from Alabama, Georgia, Maryland.

We enjoyed the property, great beach view. Loved the deck and pool. Plenty of room and beds for everyone, we will be back! The elevator was great. We had one in our party with a wheelchair. Awesome trip

Great House

Overall stay was good. Air unit downstairs froze up. Had to go a whole night without a/c. Pool was left on auto fill so it stayed way to cold to enjoy. Need a better walkway from outdoor shower to front door. Cant rinse off and then make it to the front door without sand getting back on your feet.

Mexico beach

Beautiful house and right on the beach. We had 10 adults and 2 babies and had more than enough room for everyone. Lots of sitting inside and ion the two decks, and loved the pool. Only complaints is the cleaning could have been a little better and in the bunk room the crawl space door needs a better latching due to could be dangerous if a toddler opens. Over all loved the place and most definitely would go back and stay again.

Fantastic Beach Front Getaway

We rented this gorgeous beach front home to spend a week in town for a family wedding held nearby. Everything in the home felt new, clean and inviting. The decor was tastefully simple, beautiful and upscale, just like a home you would see featured in a magazine. The pictures on the website did not disappoint. It was a lovely. Check in and check out was very simple. A previous review mentioned there was not enough fridge space so we brought extra coolers but they were not necessary because the property owners have since added an additional fridge in the garage which we put to good use. I do wish the pool had been heated. We arrived late March/early April and it was still way too cold to be able to use that amenity.. We had also planned to cookout on the grill and have dinner on the deck one evening but the grill was filthy and the lighting on the deck was so dim we could not see well enough to cook or eat that even so we wound up having to cook the burgers in the oven. Those were the only real downsides we had during our stay. One other thing to note, Mexico Beach is very close to the line where you cross over from Eastern Standard Time to the Central Time zone, so if you planning on going to dinner or an event in the Port St. Joe area, just be aware of the time difference. One other plus to note….during our stay a line of very severe storms came through our area along with a few gale force winds and a tornado warning was issued. We wound up taking shelter in our vehicles that were parked in the garage. With the home being a new build and having all the updated hurricane reinforced building code requirements we felt extremely safe. The garage door had super strong reinforced steel beams so it was nice to have that available in that rare instance. Fortunately there was no tornado near us but it made for an exciting way to start our morning. We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future. We highly recommend this vacation home.

Beautiful home!

This place was great we had 17 people and plenty of room in the house. Having the pool was such a great added bonus. The only part that was a downside is the fridge, the house sleeps 20 but that fridge will not hold enough food for a week for 20. We used coolers all week as well. If it had an additional fridge it would be absolutely perfect!

Beautiful house with a view

Beautifully decorated home, right out of a pottery barn magazine 🙌🏻 The deck seating needs a major overhaul however , it’s furnished with the canvas beach chairs that are normally for rental with beach umbrellas. Hard to get out of and there are no tables at all on the front deck. The side deck where the pool is has 3 loungers which are nice quality and a long outdoor dining table and chairs which is of great quality as well . The house had everything inside that you will need and the kitchen is great, gas stove is a plus ! Right on the beach with easy access
