Communication with the host was excellent.The property was fine.. could use a little updating, but it was clean and comfortable.

The house was amazing and communication with the host was too. Great location. The house is well stocked and we enjoyed the outdoor deck, mountain views and the hot tub. Great for families. There are a lot of steps, which is mentioned in VRBO listing, which was a great workout. We look forward to another visit soon.

This was the perfect place for my group of 12! It was so hard finding listings where there were enough bedrooms so each couple could get their own bedroom & not have to share so the layout to everything was perfect.

Our visit was great, considering we were there during one of the biggest snowstorms of the year. House was perfect for our large group, and we felt right at home. Great location once roads were cleared and we were able to get around. In the summer it would be phenomenal. Host was really great.

Wonderful Stay

Perfect choice for our family getaway to Tahoe. The location is near several places to enjoy either the mountain and as well as the lake. The house is well-appointed and has excellent views. It was a great fit for our family gathering of 12. Would book again!

Second stay

This was our second year in a row booking this property for our kids’ school’s mid-winter break. The house is suited for two families traveling together. The location is unparalleled for access to Alpine Meadows. We had a very comfortable stay (again)!

Awesome location, great house

The house was perfect for our group of 12. Super easy access to the mountain, and hosts were very responsive. The WiFi was not consistent enough to work from the house, though the hosts did everything they could to help.

Cozy and comfortable stay

This property accommodated a party of 11 which included two children and a fur baby. Beautiful views very comfortable home. Shops and grocery store were near by within 15 minutes of this property. The location of this property is in a residential area that is very quiet and open.

Perfect Getaway!

An outstanding choice for our vacation in Tahoe. Location is awesome near the mountain as well as the lake. The house is well-equipped and the team is very quick to support with any issues. Enjoyed the hot tub and the comfortable bedding. Excellent views, clean, well appointed and the house was a great fit. We could not have asked for more.

Tahoe Weekend with Friends

My friends and I came from all over the country (Kansas, Colorado, Wisconsin, California) to meet in the middle, and boy did we end up with the best house! The communication was great, I was able to get both an early check in and late check out. There was more than enough bed space, towels, linens, extra blankets, etc. The neighborhood was beautiful, quiet, and literally connected to the ski mountain. We got so lucky.

The best location!

We were thrilled to stay 2 min drive from the base of Sherwood. A driver would do two drop off runs and then we were able to park in the small lot with an amazing attendant, Brenda. Some of our party were even able to ski from the backside of Lakeview down to the house. All communication with property managers was thorough and prompt. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Stairs

The first set of stairs outside and the inside stairs were a challenge for me. I have in my 70s and had a lot of trouble getting up and down those. The rest of my younger family had no problem. But this is something you might want to mention If a group of Senior people were looking to rent. Or anybody with a handicap.

Because of the snow, most of the homes in Lake Tahoe have stairs. We glad you enjoyed the house and hope to see you and your family again soon!

1 week with 8 adults, 10-year old, and small dog

This review is for a mid July visit. House has lots of plusses -extremely quiet neighborhood, easy access to the Tahoe Rim Trail. Kitchen was fairly well stocked with pots/pans, baking dishes, chopping boards, etc. House was clean + enough bathroom towels for our party. Plenty of trash cans in bear locker. Each room & common space has Roku TV. Can stream whatever you want. Internet was generally able to handle high use. Great patio furniture outside on a nice deck. Some challenges that management company was quick to address @ oven issue & handyman sent same day. Some essentials missing like kitchen towels. Leaking dishwasher on last night, but given attention of the company, I suspect they would have followed up to make sure it worked. It was clear the company wanted our group to have a good experience as they were far more responsive than most rentals I've been in. To decide if this VRBO is for you, know: *Multiple sets of stairs from the driveway up to the house,1 set of stairs from the entry door to the main floor with kitchen & common space & 1 more set of stairs from main floor to common area. *Main table realistically seats 7. Larger group needs card table in the house + extra chairs. Our group eating together was a tad cramped. *2 folks at a time in kitchen. *Hot tub was lovely w/ good instructions though cover unwieldy. *Common area squeezed 9 *Overall good value given price & late booking +pet. *Close to ski area so I imagine winter would be quite nice.

Multi generational family of 11 ranging from 9 months to 67 years old. 4 children were below 5 years old. Visiting Tahoe for the weekend Friday to Sunday at the end of April. We did not use the patio or bbq. We did use sauna and hot tub. Pros: Cleanliness, welcome bath packs, coat stand with plenty of hooks, tissue boxes in all rooms, extra blankets, plenty of towels, plenty of seating in the family room adjoining the kitchen, plenty of kitchen equipment, adjustable heating, good lighting, everything worked (showers, hot tub, sauna, heating, garage openers, dishwasher, checkin, checkout), prompt and helpful responses to my questions, no attitude. Nice we got the safety issues sorted we had a nice time. Cons: My daughters with the kids were very stressed when they got to the property because of safety issues. We would not have taken the house if we had known about the dangers to small kids. I would not recommend this property to families with children who are crawling and are below 5 years. We made the place safe by blocking off danger areas with cushions and making sure 2 adults were always around the small kids. Property description should have included the following:1. 17 steps to get to front door2. Banister poles: small children can easily fall to the floor below through the gaps between banister poles. 3. A very heavy glass coffee table on a metal stand in the family room. This is very unsafe for small children. 4. Stair gates are not provided.
