Our family has stayed at this property a few times, and we even had the pleasure of hosting our intimate wedding ceremony here during our most recent stay! We absolutely love this place and will definitely be back in the future. The family who owns the property is incredibly kind and welcoming, as is the property manager. The home itself is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly spacious, making it the perfect place to relax and spend quality time together. It’s also very close to many of the wineries in the area. If you’re visiting the area with a large family or group of friends, I highly recommend booking this property.

Calling all chef want to be, this is an excellent kitchen, great views , beautiful willow tree, hummingbirds, privacy galore, all the convenience of home maybe better.. perfect place for a get away to unplug or have a family gathering.. highly enjoyed our stay..

All of the above! This was the most wonderful place I’ve ever stayed at. I am a wine snob and I loved the wine at the vineyards we visited. The house was very spacious and had many porches and all the rooms were wonderful. The host was very easy to deal with and very kind and professional. Hoping to come back with my husband and another couple. Such a pleasant experience!

It was an extreme pleasure to stay at this house. I held my wedding there and it was a perfect venue for a small wedding. The house is gorgeous and spacious. Jeanette was so helpful in assuring everything would go smoothly the day of the wedding. I love this house, we plan on visiting frequently.

This stay was incredible. The host and property manager were so very nice and helpful. My husband and I had our small elopement wedding here, and any questions we had or anything we needed was answered with quickness or offered to help in anyway. We will most definitely return just the two of us for an anniversary getaway. Beautiful location, beautiful home, incredible people. Thank you so much!

Wine & Family Wedding Weekend

Very beautiful location for views and privacy. Close to several wineries. House was roomy and well maintained. Very nice accommodations. Would definitely stay here again.

Secluded paradise

We had a wonderful time and the house was great. Plenty of room for our daughter and her family to stay with us. Our granddaughters love the giant porch and the cows. Wonderful experience

The house is beautiful and has beautiful surroundings. They're is a lot of space in the home and has almost anything you might need. We were busy with our sons wedding but I really wish we could have hung out around the house more.

Quiet retreat!

Wonderful girls weekend retreat. The house was well kept and well stocked with anything you might need. Plenty of room as well as a large screened in porch. Very peaceful setting - great getaway to spend time with friends.

Beyond expectations!

Beautiful house in a serene setting. This place has everything you could want if you want a getaway. Everything but good Wi-Fi/cell service. If you're looking for a place away from it all, this is it!

Great weekend in beautiful foothills scenery

We stayed at this vrbo for a weekend and invited our close family for a celebratory dinner following our wedding. It is a beautiful property and the home is set up with everything you need to feel at home (but magnitudes more gorgeous than a typical home!). We particularly enjoyed the large screened-in patio and fire table, which made a great place to gather and spend time taking in the amazing scenery. If you book this vrbo, you are sure to have a superb experience!

Lovely girls weekend

We had a wonderful time in this spacious, yet cozy and welcoming home. We had everything we needed at our fingertips. I would highly recommend staying here if you're interested in going to nearby wineries, exploring Elkin and surrounding areas, or just relaxing for a few days by the firepit with the beautiful sounds of nature surrounding you. We plan to stay here for our next weekend getaway! Thanks for everything!

Annual Yuletide Sipping Tour Girls’ Wine Trip

This beautiful property is located on a meadow on top of a hill. It is near a farm with cattle grazing by the small road once you get thru the woods on the way up. The master and one other bedroom was on the first floor which was helpful. There is a huge covered back porch with a grill and some seating on the back of the house looking out toward the hills. It was a perfect place to just hang out, play games and watch movies. The house is spacious and beautiful! The kitchen is extremely well stocked. For our stay it was decorated for Christmas which made it feel even more special! Be sure to stop for groceries on the way in. Elkin Vine Lines will pick up at this location for an extra fee for a private wine tour if you arrange it ahead of time or you can take advantage of their Hop on/Hop off transportation from downtown Elkin. We recommend eating at Southern on Main in downtown Elkin and exploring the shops.

We stayed here for our wedding, and the views and location were beautiful — exactly what we hoped for. However, a major issue quickly put a damper on the experience.When we pulled in, we noticed another vehicle at the house. Later that evening, we saw a TV on in a room behind the garage. Concerned, we immediately reached out to the property manager to ask if someone else was supposed to be staying there. The response was: “Yes the apartment has a full time renter. You won’t see him but in passing. His name is Davie. Very nice guy.”There was no mention in the listing of a full-time renter onsite. The home was advertised as a private, tranquil space — which was a key reason we chose it for such an important event. Instead, the walkway to the side of the house doubles as the renter’s entrance, and the kitchen has large windows and a full glass door with no blinds. It was incredibly uncomfortable trying to prepare meals while a stranger could (and did) walk directly past the windows.The home also needs some upkeep. The kitchen sink faucet began leaking into the cabinet and onto the floor, making the sink and dishwasher unusable for most of our stay. There were cobwebs, owners’ clothes left in the dressers (so we couldn’t unpack during a 5-day stay), several closets were locked so we couldn’t hang up wedding attire, and some wall sockets appeared unsafe.House had great potential if the owner had been transparent about the renter and did basic maintenance.

The property was everything we hoped it would be and more. The location was peaceful and private. The home had a spacious layout and a well equipped kitchen. The host was very easy to connect with, and helped us with a few minor details at the start of stay. Great getaway spot
