This country retreat offers relaxed indoor and outdoor living. The house offers three bedrooms in addition to a private Primary Suite. Two queen sleeper sofas provide additional sleep space. Three full baths and one half bath is a true convenience. A newly renovated kitchen sets the stage for easy food preparation. After a wonderful day enjoying the local area the gorgeous brick patio is ready for resting, dining and watching the stars! Light a fire in the firepit located on the patio. Enjoying a glass of wine with the warmth of the fire and friends is the perfect way to end a day!

Terrific home away from home

This house was amazing; the hosts thought of lots of details....including coffee and creamer. There were personal touches most VRBOs do not have. The beds were comfortable and the setting was idyllic.

Above our expectations. The host thought of everything, down to the tiniest detail. The pictures do not do this property justice. It’s secluded and full of wildlife. The home was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was updated and full of amenities. We enjoyed the patio every morning and evening. We highly recommend this host and property.

Perfect for a friend getaway

Had a lovely wine weekend with friends. The house was in a perfect location with lots of privacy. The house was immaculate with new updated kitchen & bathrooms. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location to wonderful Elkin. Also, the Reeves, Music, Wineries, Etc. House is immaculate. There are no better places to stay.

Wine Country Base

This property was excellent. Close to everything but peaceful. Beds slept great. Kitchen well stocked. Happy to find the same grill I use at home. Bathrooms recently remodeled. And the animal lovers were happy with the cows next door and Charlie the cat. Overall, very happy with our stay. We will be back!

Girlfriends Getaway!

We had 6 ladies stay at the house and could have fit several more. The house is spacious, comfortable, well stocked and extremely clean. The personal touches throughout feels like you are staying with family. The updates to the kitchen, bathroom, and main suite were beautifully done. The outside is picturesque complete with a beautiful patio and firebox. The house is close to everything but feels off the beaten path (in the best way) due to the long driveway and story book like surroundings We would definitely stay here again if visiting the Elkin area. The host Sharon was a joy to work with and communicated updates and information throughout the whole process. Thank you for such a memorable 40th birthday getaway!

Close enough… yet remote at the same time!!

This home is a PERFECT retreat getaway!! It’s close enough to town for necessities and exploring but far enough out to enjoy the quiet, slow life!! The owners really go all out to make their house your home for the duration of your stay. We absolutely loved our time here and will be back!! Wedding weekend

Absolutely the perfect location. The house and property are breathtaking. Close enough to everything. Anything we thought we didn’t bring was available at the house. We saw the car, an owl and deer while there. The history of the property is interesting. The Christmas tree memorial is so special.

Wonderful Weekend Get away!!!

We arrived Friday night for a weekend of wine tasting! The house was a perfect base to operate from and the area was beautiful! The home was spectacular in every way and extremely clean and comfortable! We plan to book it again!

Country Stay

Excellent home and area. Honestly, there is more room to sit and talk than there are bedrooms. Plenty of space for meals and hanging with extended family, both indoors and outdoors. Only a few cycling miles to downtown Elkin. Stop by Dirty Joe’s for a morning cup of coffee.

Weekend Family Reunion

The Jake and Wilma property was great! The hosts really thought of everything when turning this into a vacation rental. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and gorgeous kitchen! We didn't stay long enough to enjoy all the features but the property has been so well thought out from multiple living rooms so large parties can spread out to lovely outdoor space with ample seating and entertainment options. The property was very clean and well maintained.

Wonderful Home! Wonderful Weekend!

I booked this home so we can have a place to stay for my wedding weekend and from the very beginning Sharon was the best with communication and flexibility! I truly enjoyed my stay and had a wonderful weekend! This home has so much history and love built into it and we could tell it was very well taken care of. Wine Festival Weekend

My group loved this property and home. It was so lovely and paid homage to the original owners with their life history throughout the home. There was plenty of room for the eight of us, indoors and outside, too.

My name is Sharon and I grew up in this home. My parents, Jake and Wilma, loved this house. They also loved their family and friends. Jake and Wilma always enjoyed having folks stop by for a visit. It is my desire to honor them by creating a warm, comfortable experience for my guests.

The location of this property is perfect. There is easy and fast access to grocery stores, fast food and shops. This property is centrally located among most of the wineries in the Yadkin Valley. Mt. Airy is a quick drive up I-77. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 20 minute drive from the house. Stone Mountain is close by for hiking and enjoying nature.

This home is located in the center of 30+ acres of land. The house is surrounded by woods and a beautiful view of pastureland. Cows grazing and birds singing are a normal part of the day. Towards evening deer begin to come out of the woods and graze. At night the stars are extra bright because there are no competing city lights. Tranquility is the best word to describe this one of a kind setting.
