Beautiful views! The upper deck on the back of the house was perfection. We stayed easily located to jaunt into Shepherdstown, Harpers Ferry and even a drive to Berkeley Springs. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This property was amazing! Cute cozy little cottage minutes from Harpers Ferry! Scenery from the porch/house was absolutely gorgeous! House was very clean and the hosts were friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will miss the very friendly gray cat that visited often!

Cottage was perfect for our Stay and perfectly suited our needs. The views were lovely and it was centrally located to everywhere we needed to go. Scott was super responsive and answered all our questions. When we return to the area, we would definitely stay here again.

This place was beautiful! The view from top balcony was amazing. It was very clean. It made our stay very relaxing. So peaceful and quiet. Highly recommended!

Super clean and quiet. Beautiful views of river. The owners thought of everything and provided so many things-toilet articles, coffee etc. The pictures did not show how close neighbors were but the neighborhood grew on us and we loved it. We loved the porches, beds were comfortable. We plan to rebook. Close to so many historic sites.

Our stay was in a beautiful location and close to a Marc train station which we utilized for a few days to visit DC. It was quiet and the view of the river was excellent. The hosts were wonderful in their communication to us and the house was clean. The surrounding towns were lovely with some great restaurants. Our teen daughter did not want to leave!

Great views and access to lots of good stuff. Spotlessly clean, well maintained. To many little amenities and plusses to include here. We’ll be there again next fall. I strongly considered stealing the friendly neighborhood cat, then thought he might belong to a child that is also attached to it.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was beautiful, cozy, and in the perfect location. The views were amazing, and it was the perfect spot for the book signing we came for. We also had so much fun exploring Harpers Ferry, it was such a fun and charming place to visit!Everything about the house made our stay relaxing and special. And we have to mention our sweet little morning visitor, the cat who greeted us on our first morning! It was such a cute and unexpected welcome and definitely made our stay even more memorable.If you’re looking for a delicious breakfast while you’re here, definitely check out Country Cafe! It was so good and the perfect way to start the day.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely come back again!

Our small group really enjoyed our stay at the Riverside Cottage. It was perfectly located for all of the historic sites we wanted to visit nearby. We really enjoyed the comfortable furnishings and the beautiful scenery. Our host was communicative and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was within 30mins of everything we wanted to do. It is a cozy, clean and a very comfortable house. The owners are very friendly and communicative. We appreciated the washer and dryer very much. The air conditioner was fantastic on those hot days. The view from the back of the house is amazing. Our son loved seeing all the trains in West Virginia. Five Stars!

Perfect homebase to unwind in after long days of hiking and exploring nearby areas. Squeaky clean, comfy furnishings, quiet and relaxing grounds. Host provided every amenity needed. Really appreciated the porch and lovely views.

It's a very nice place to relax and the places we wanted to see (Antietam, Harpers Ferry, and Sharpsburg) were close and convenient. The view of the Potomac River from the balcony was great. The stairs between the floors were steep and not really suited for elderly people, and the location of the kitchen downstairs and upstairs living room and bedrooms required a lot of trips up and down the stairs. Younger people should have no problem with it, however. The host was very helpful and even offered the use of his kayaks for the river. We declined but really appreciated the kind offer.

Very nice and comfy! Host was very pleasant and quick to respond. Sit on the deck and watch the wildlife as you have your coffee in the morning or unwind in the evening. Quiet and serene location. Had everything we needed for our stay. We plan to return in the fall!

We enjoyed the proximity to Harpers Ferry and nearby hiking trails. The balcony overlooking the Potomac was a welcome bonus. The kitchen was well-equipped and a nice place to hang out while preparing breakfast. The hosts were very responsive and always answered our emails. We had a great stay. It is a very good value for the price.
