We stayed here for our son’s graduation from Bates College, and it was the perfect choice. The location was ideal, making it easy to get to campus and enjoy the surrounding area.The host was communicative, responsive, and a pleasure to work with throughout our stay. The house itself was wonderful, clean, well maintained, and equipped with everything our family of five adults needed.The view was absolutely spectacular. The photos simply do not do the view or home justice. Waking up to that scenery each day was a highlight of our trip.We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Everything about the place was great, good location nice quiet spot beautiful view. Easy check in. Had all the amenities so we didn’t have to bring pots or pans or utensils, I’d definitely rent it again

The property was located perfectly for our trip! Everything on the listing was accurate. The deck on the lake front was a great place to watch the sunset. The living room had a beautiful wall of windows overlooking the back yard and lake. Paddleboat, patio chairs, and grill were all provided. We were busy with excursions and didn't use them, but it was nice to have the option. The upstairs had a loft with a Mortal Kombat game and an air hockey table. The upstairs bedroom has a very low slanted ceiling, but the bed was comfortable. My adult kids appreciated the room air conditioners in each room so they could keep their bedrooms cooler. We had a little trouble getting in. We needed to hit a check mark on the keypad prior to the code, but we are unfamiliar with keypad locks and didn't know that and it wasn't on the instructions. We were able to contact the host by phone, but the texts messages thru VRBO weren't getting thru. Some of the appliances were "fiddly", but usable. Overall it met the needs of our group and was a great "crash pad" for our Maine trip.

The property was great & dog friendly. The house was very clean with a beautiful view of the lake. Our only concern was its proximity to a very busy road. We had trouble with the lock key pad but the owners were very responsive and helpful.

Clean, easy to find, perfect location for our riding clinic at a nearby farm. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful lake view

Stunning lake views. Sitting on the dock was extremely relaxing. Very close to Bates college which was great.

The view of the lake was fantastic! Noise from traffic behind the house was bothersome, especially at night. Layout of house was perfect for our family of 4, plenty of room. I think the photos on the listing were taken a while ago so I was surprised at the amount of wear and tear on the furniture. Enjoyed our stay overall!

Graduation gathering

This was the perfect place for our family to gather while enjoying our youngest child’s graduation from Bates. My adult kids appreciated the “game room” upstairs and all had comfortable beds to sleep in.

Family vacation

We had a great time utilizing the lake and watching the loons dive for fish. Although the street is busy the private backyard is wonderful. The location as very covenient to Brunswick and Lewiston.

Forest escape

We really enjoyed our stay at Paul's guest house. The beds were comfy and the home was clean. Paul was friendly and helpful.

Nice waterfront

House worked out well. Comfortable, loft area and upstairs bedroom/bathroom made it nice for adult children to have their own space. Great to have washer/dryer available. Minor complaint in cleanliness, counters sticky and wood floor could have been swept/vacuumed before we arrived.

Great Getaway Spot

Lakeside home is so inviting. Could not have asked for anything. Patrick made sure all needs were met. Bug zappers, AC, ample supplies. Ceiling fans are great touch in keeping air circulating. Yes, it is close to the main road, however we didn’t find it to be distracting.

Great family vacation at the lake!

The cabin is steps away from a beautiful lake. We loved the deck right at waterside. The family of ducks that visited us was a huge hit with the little people! Swimming was fun and we give the paddle boat a 10+. Great family time. We also enjoyed the grill and bonfire. The windows were a little grimy (bugs by the lake/to be expected) but overall a great place to stay! Would go back in a heartbeat!! Thanks!

Super relaxing location.

It is a great location right on the lake, with a great view from the living room through the back slide door and windows. Very comfortable set up in the house loved the high ceiling and the loft with the air hockey table. It was the comfortable for the two of us but could easily felt 6 people. Very dog friendly. The backyard was mostly fenced in and went right up to the water which was very nice. Appreciate that kitchen was easy to cook. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again in the future.

Sabbatus stay

Location was as described, there was a single air conditioner down stairs, none elsewhere. We arrived and it was very warm inside. Fortunately nights were cool and it worked out.

Good communication from host with all the details. Great view of the lake from backyard with firepit and grill. Can watch the sunsets also. Birds observed on the lake great egret and ducks. Good location to a number of golf courses. Route 197 diner and Dubois cafe short drive for group breakfast before tee time. Kitchen has everything to make a meal. Would be great next time to have a dish rack for those small items to hand wash and dry. Was able to take 10 second exposure shots of the night stars showing all the stars, standing in the driveway looking directly up for best results. Noted from other reviews it's close to a road and brought CVS earplugs for sleeping all good there.

The house was nice and the water was a good view. We got there and it was very hot, but it was 95 outside. Portable ac helped a little but the upstairs was too hot for anyone to sleep there. The home is also on a very busy and very loud road.

The house was clean and perfect for our short stay! We will definitely book again for family weekend at Bates! The internet didn’t work but was not an issue. It was rainy during our stay and there were no mats inside by the doors. We felt badly about getting the floors wet!

4th of july

Overall we had a good stay one complaint would be you list as supplying toilet paper a half roll of toilet paper for three people for 4 days just doesn’t work had to find a store to buy some. Also went to do a load of laundry and when I opened the door very strong musty smell so I put the washer thru a cleaning cycle and that cleared it up just a heads up you should not close the door when not in use you should leave it open to prevent odor. In the future it would be nice to have a picnic table and some sort of grill it was hot and we had to cook inside

A great, short, family trip

We loved it here! The house immaculate, had everything we need and more, and the lake was GORGEOUS! Some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen and I live close to the ocean! My 9yo son LOVED toasting marshmallows by the fire, using the peddle boat provided by the home owners, and having our dog with us! The bedrooms don’t have AC but it wasn’t necessary. We stayed mid august and it was chilly (in a good way) at night. The property is on a main road, but the noise wasn’t an issue and each bedroom has a noise machine just in case (lovely touch). There are really nice hiking and biking trails all within a 20/30 minute drive and an AMAZING lobster shack just down the road. We would definitely consider staying here again! It was like all the benefits of camping (lake, biking, hiking, beautiful sunset, camp fire, tons of stars) with REALLY cozy beds to sleep in and nice, clean bathrooms! 5 stars! Highly recommend!
