This wonderful 2 Bed 1 bath Oceanview Condo that sleeps five is perfect for the small family looking for that perfect vacation location with amazing views of the ocean. The condo on the third floor of Building 8 in the Oak Island Beach Villas is perfect for great views of the beach and ocean but also easy to access the community pool. The Oceanview open balcony has seating designed for relaxing and watching the dolphins play in the ocean waves. The Primary bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and the guest room has a twin over double bunk bed. The family room has ample seating that adjoins to the dining area. The condo is equipped with internet and the family room has a Smart flat screen TV. The large community pool is nearby with ample seating and there is also a community grilling area along with picnic tables for your use. The Oak Island golf course is within a short walking distance as is the Oak Island Pier. Many restaurants and shops are also nearby.

 Great Long Weekend Getaway

Had a great time in Southport/Oak Island, and the stay at Playa Tortuga capped it all off. Great views, comfortable setting, pool, and easy beach access. Would highly recommend and will stay there again when we get back to Southport. The only thing I’d like to see is a bigger TV in the living room :) — that would give it 5.5 stars.

We enjoyed our week at the beach. The property was just as advertised. It was clean, quiet, and convenient to get to the beach and pool. We would stay at this property again.

We loved our stay at Oak Island beach condos. It was very clean, well equipped kitchen and loved the ocean view. It’s a very cozy condo and beds were comfortable too.

Overall great stay. We should’ve read the listing a bit closer as some typically standard things we expected for a rental were lacking like beach towels, more kitchenware (like trays), ample soap / laundry detergent / hand soap, beach chairs. Overall this was not a problem, we made do…and the property manager was very helpful and communicated promptly. We had a minor hiccup at checkin where the door code didn’t work and we called and were able to quickly get reset. Floors were a little on the dirty side but it is a beach rental after all. Property is in a great location / community. Amazing beach. Top floor ocean-facing porch was top notch. We would definitely rebook here

Nice Location and Cute BUT…

I should have read every review before booking because the fact that this is a top floor unit and up 48 steps (6 flights of 8) and has no elevator, was not revealed until check in directions were sent just the day before! Being fairly fit, in our mid sixties, we were able to manage it but it wore us out! I’m not sure what you would do if you or someone you are going to stay there with has mobility issues or if you have young children who will have to be carried up and down the stairs! It is cute, nice view, easy walk to a beautiful stretch of the beach, close to the pier and Oak Island beaches are close by. Would not stay there again though because we were worn out and a little sore by the end of our stay!

Great and Responsive

This was an incredible place to stay, and the hosts were incredibly responsive to any questions we had, even on Sunday! They also provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, including a welcoming gift, a map of the area, and an incredible guide that allowed us to find restaurants and amenities in the area. Would absolutely stay again next year.

Playa Tortuga

We had the best time during our stay! The condo was perfect our family of 3. The beach access was a short walking distance and the balcony had the perfect view! We will definitely plan another trip in the future!

Nice place lotta stairs, but the view is worth i

Great place to relax one minute to the beach one minute to the pool. Pool had a lot of kids so if you’re an adult looking to chill, go to the beach.

Beautiful property and view

The property was beautiful and the view was absolutely amazing. Just a short trip to the beach. One afternoon we accidentally locked the doorknob on our way out and the property manager was so quick so come and let us back in. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

road trip

Great view of the ocean. Worth the 48 steps up and down. Kitchen had all you need including some spices & oils. The beach was nice and filled with mostly young families. Restaurant dining was a short drive. We would stay again.

Weekend at Oak Island

This stay was everything we could have hoped for. If you want a relaxing beach vacation with some high quality restaurants within a short distance of your stay then this is the place to do it. The apartment was very clean and very comfortable. We had everything we could have needed. The pool was great and the access to the beach was a short walking distance from apartment. We will certainly come back again!

Perfect little condo right on the beach!

We LOVED our stay at Playa Tortuga! The condo is adorable and decorated so nicely. There is plenty of comfy seating in the living room and our teenagers easily shared the 2nd bedroom. The property pool was great and the short walk across the parking lot to the beach was short and simple! Just a few recommendations: The queen bed could use an upgrade. Softer sheets would be great. The kitchen could use: a silicone spatula (used for baking), a hard plastic spatula/turner and a dish towel and dishcloth. Overall, I would stay at Playa Tortuga in the future!!!

Playa torture

We had a really nice stayin the Oak Island villas. The beach access was so close by and the pool was a great advantage for our family with little kids. I do have a couple recommendations for the unit. There was only one bathroom towel per person provided, and we could have used a few more. There were also no towels in the kitchen and the floor mats in both the bathroom and the kitchen need a good cleaning or to be replaced. Would also highly recommend some more plates and bowls. These were minor things, but wanted to make you aware.
