Beautiful property, enjoyed the views and water access. Made for a wonderful backdrop for a special day. Host was very accommodating and went above and beyond to welcome the bride and groom, enhancing the experience.

Nice home, very comfortable and welcoming

My son and I came for a fishing trip and had the best time, caught a lot of fish and house was very nice and property manager/owner easy to work with.

Nice cottage

The best thing about the cottage was the responsiveness of Lori! It really helped us prepare and get questions answered during the stay. The cottage is older but bathrooms and kitchen have been updated nicely. The access to the lake was limited because the boat lift wasn’t available to us and the water level was too low to access a boat without it but the listing did not have the lift as an amenity. We saw it in the pics and thought we’d be able to dock there. Thanks Lori for your thoughtfulness with snacks we appreciated those!

Great Lake getaway

The property was right on the lake and we had beautiful views out the back every evening! My son loved swimming in the lake. The house was very warm and welcoming, clean and had lots of modern appliances. The beds were comfy and great showers! Will definitely visit again!

Sister Reunion

Beautiful two-story house on Lake St. Clair. Plenty of parking, spacious deck overlooking the lake, cozy front porch and lots of room inside. All the amenities needed for a perfect getaway on the lake!

Cute lakeside bungalow

Tastefully updated classic lakeside home. Host anticipated everything you need for a fabulous stay. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Huge big screen TV and gorgeous outdoor deck overlooking Lake St Clair. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great location near restaurants and bars. We visited for a nephews graduation and it was perfect for us visiting from Illinois.

Family Friendly!

What a view! The house had everything we needed and more, they have gone above and beyond. I loved that they had a baby gate and high chair. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. I also easily got in touch with the property manager when needed. I would book again.

Boating Tubing Swimming Fishing Repeat

This home has been painstakingly updated. There is a large map on the wall for boaters to discover the channels. There is a lift for the boat. We had an unforgettable family vacation here with lots of room and with perfect weather. Traffic died down some on the weekend.

beautiful place

The property is in excellent shape and has nice small touches such as extra toothpaste, etc. The view on the lake is very nice. The owners think of everything and they quickly respond to any requests. The only challenge is the noise of the Dixie Hwy traffic.

Bayside Bungalow was amazing

Bayside bungalow exceeded our expectations. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious and clean. The views of the lake from the deck and the backyard are amazing. We enjoyed dinner every night on the deck , and finished the night with a bonfire under the stars. Lori was quick to respond with any questions we had. We highly recommend.

Annual Fishing Trip

For my first time renting through the system it was an A+. Communication with the property owner was always prompt. The house was beautiful, The view of the water from the deck was superb! Wasn’t sure if there were towels or not . So I connected with the owner through Vrbo and they responded that there was plenty of towels and toothbrush and toothpaste in case someone may have forgot theirs. They also had ear plugs and those who needed them were sure grateful. lol The fishing was magnificent as Lake St Clair is! Thank you from all of us who stayed!!

Potential for greatness with a few adjustments

The location was amazing, I don’t think I had ever seen a more beautiful sunset. It was private and quiet and exactly what we were looking for. It was stocked with coffee and tea and a little basket of snacks along with all of the other cooking essentials. Tons of available towels and toiletries. It really has the makings to be a go to getaway. Now, I need to start off by saying that any faults we found did not take away from how relaxing the long weekend was. With a few adjustments, this really could be a great getaway spot. Cleanliness was the biggest issue. The fridge/freezer had a spilled sticky residue and there were bits and pieces of old food on most surfaces of the fridge. There were bugs on a lot of the blinds and you could tell they had been there awhile. The shelving in one of the showers had pieces of the shampoo/conditioner bottles on them and old soap, the tub had hair in it.The owner was very responsive and offered to have a cleaner come out but we declined and just wanted to relax.If we planned on staying longer then we would have accepted the offer, but for the first night after a 6 hour drive we didn’t want to do anything but relax. Another thing to be aware of is spiders. Everything on the back porch was covered in webs and spiders. We took some time to clear a lot of them including all in and around the grill. The owner apologized and was really nice about everything which i appreciated and would give it another try.

Hi. We’re your hosts, Dan and Lori. We both grew up in this area and love it out here. We have 5 children, all married and 9 grandkids. This area is a great place to raise kids or just come to get away for awhile

Since we live in the area we have the best of both worlds. We live in the country but can be out on the water in minutes. We fell in love with the quaintness of this bungalow as well as the incredible view.
