Buckeye Bear's Den is tucked in the very popular West Village of Shaver Lake. A prime location, walking distance to stores, restaurants, and just 1/4 mile to the lake. Shaver Lake is the perfect place to vacation. The climate is ideal with cool summers and mild winters. The list of activities is long and includes, hiking, fishing, skiing, sledding, boating, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and more!

When you rent our cabin, you will have the entire cabin during your stay.
You have access to the entire home. I'll send you a personalized key code one week before check-in. Access is that easy :)

Enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine upon your arrival!

Come make some memories with your family. This is a great space for larger groups that enjoy spending time together. Enjoy the large deck with propane BBQ, Smart TV's, board games and more.

There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Please note that the upstairs bathroom has a tub with shower handle and is not a stand up shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make your favorite meals.

We are pet friendly and we are happy to welcome your well house- and furniture-trained pups! We do ask that you clean up after them inside and out. There is a non-refundable pet fee of $150 per stay and that covers up to two dogs. You will want to add this at the time of booking.

As part of our effort to help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely to provide you with the below protection. Great cabin, very convenient location. The air quality was pretty bad because of the fires which spoiled our vacation a bit, but the house has AC units in each room, so that helped.

The house is much roomer then you expect. Plenty of seating area with 3 couches. Beds are very comfortable and firm. Perfect distance from town and the lake.

Great Shaver Stay for a Group

We loved our stay. Great location: walk to town, close to lake, easy drive to China Peak. The house is well set up for a group: large dining table, plenty of rooms/beds, fun games and puzzles, clean, cozy. The host was communicative. Will definitely stay again.

Family Favorite

We had a large group and we're worried about having everyone fit. It was very spacious for all of us, and we loved the short walk into town. Our host was easy to get ahold of and was very friendly.

Buck eye Bear’s Den-AC-*Walking Distance to Town

Very Cozy! Our large blended family fit comfortably and absolutely enjoyed this home. We all agreed that we would love to start a family tradition of meeting at Buckeye Den for annual family getaway. The large living room and large dining table gave plenty of space for children and grandchildren and even our fur baby Daisy. We loved this home!

Bear's Den

This is the third time we have been able to use the cabin. Everything is perfect about it, location, 4 bedrooms, amenities. Jamie the host is always on top of things if needed. The kitchen has everything you need and its walking distance to all the food places or grocery stores in town if you need them.

Summer 2023 family vacation

This property was perfect for our family ! House was well stocked with all necessary items we needed for a week long trip. House was very clean and all rooms were very comfortable! Loved the location to town! We spent hours out on the deck with the fire pit! Would highly recommend this property! We will be back! Jamie our cabin host was so responsive and helpful!

Great for large families

We had a fantastic time at this cabin in Shaver. The living area has plenty of seating and we all enjoyed sitting around the large dining table and playing games. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots/pans/utensils/plates/cups for cooking. The basement game room was especially great for my teenagers. It snowed while we were there and the fireplace kept us cozy. I would definitely come here again!

Lasting Memories

Great location to Shaver town. Loved the big dining table, outside patio and the amount of seating in the living room. I would have liked handrails on the stairs, especially when taking up our luggage. But other than that, the cabin was a great place to stay. Our cabin host was very prompt when responding to all my questions. She also made great suggestions on where to eat and places to explore.

Annual Family trip

We have hit Shaver Lake every October except the Fire year for the past 15 years if not more. The older gen has passed and now new babies who get to spend time with cousins at the lake and around the fire pit at my Sisters who live about four doors down. This cabin fits our family, and my siblings stay at other cabins with their families. A little cramped upstairs with the bathroom, but it all works. Great communication from the owners and a superbly appointed spot close to anything you may need. Hope we can stay again. Perfect time of year to be up there. The fires and beetles taking a toll on trees but you can see lots of new growth all over.

So Impressed

My family of 12 has been getting together for the past 23 years. Our goal was to travel to different locations and tour different cabins and lakes. This cabin was hands down the best thus far. The Host takes great pride in this cabin and the amenities were top notch from the beds being super comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked we had no needs at all. We had some really amazing family talks around the big dining table and outside patio.. The host was always available for any questions I had prior to our scheduled date . We will be back. Thank you

Awesome cabin

The process was seamless from start to finish. The cabin is super nice will all amenities to make for a great week. We specially enjoyed all the sitting space in the living room and the deck. We would definitely rent again.

The house was spotless and comfortable. We’re Christians and loved that you are too. The location was wonderful, we loved spending most of our time on the deck outside. A couple of things tho, check the blanket in the closet in the down stairs bedroom, it could use a washing, Also, we ran out of toilet paper after 3 days. 12 people need more’ And the kids were thinking of using paper towels but they didn’t. So that would be bad for your septic. Other than that, we had a great time & would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!
