Our Cozy little cabin is the perfect getaway for all seasons. The sauna is an extra treat. The property is close to the tiny town of Osage and the Smokey Hills State Forest. The Shell River runs through the property providing the perfect relaxing background at the campfire. The large oaks provide beautiful green shade in the summer, an array of orange & yellow in the fall and a beautiful place for the frost and snow to settle in the winter.

Great spot for a base camp for our group on a fishing trip. Cozy spot, felt nice and secluded. Lots of good bass lakes around.

It felt like home away from home. Everything listed as an amenity was accurate plus some extras we didn't expect. Easy check in and check out. A question we had was answered immediately and taken care of. Excellent response time!! Our only issue was finding the correct driveway. Even though we had Google maps with the correct address listed, we were taken to the wrong one. Twice. There is a small sign announcing the river cabin but we didn't see it until after circling around and were already turning into the correct driveway. I will be keeping this property on the "stay here" list if ever we are in the area again.

Charming cabin with a beautiful burbling creek in the backyard. A bit closer with the neighbors than the pictures show, but a lovely spot to relax in the shade. The little sauna is a wonderful treat. At night, really enjoyed the bountiful collection of 90's dvds!

We really had a nice time here, great location for Park Rapids and Itasca State Park. Very clean and well stocked with everything we needed, the bed was very comfy. We Loved our stay here

Hello, I am a Park Rapids resident. I lived near Park Rapids as a child and moved back to the area to raise my family. The house just South of the River Cabin is where my husband, Kelly and I raised our children until 2004. I owned and operated Dogs Paw near Park Rapids for 14 years. This cabin has a fun history, and we love sharing the property with guests so that you can experience the relaxing environment.

I love this place for the large oak trees and the peaceful river. The location is close to the Smokey Hills State Forest, Straight Lake, Park Rapids and about a 25–30-minute drive to Itasca State Park.
