Charming Lake Cabin

Lake cabin with sandy beach on Long Lake near Park Rapids.
Up north 3 hours from the Twin Cities.
1 bedroom, 1 bathroom.
Great fishing, free use of dock and boat launch, kayaks, canoe, grill and firepit.
The property is allowed to have 4 people per county license. Sleeping 4 is a stretch since there is only one bedroom (king size bed). Sleeping 4 is possible if smaller children are involved since there is loveseat and oversize chair in living area that could also be used.
We would also appreciate that there are no other or extra guests invited to the cabin during your stay.
Recently added a window Air Conditioner so it keeps cabin quite comfy.

Note: Owners live on the property to assist with any questions or issues that may come up. Also, most summer weekends are currently blocked for family, but several weekends become unblocked as the time approaches when family is not planning to use the lake cabin, so watch for the weekends to become unblocked as the time approaches.

We had an amazing and relaxing time at this cabin. The cabin was extremely clean, and the hosts were wonderful. There was lots to enjoy being on the lake. We will be back!

Darling cabin on decent lake- easy to find little getaway spot. Beautiful sunsets and fun bluegill fishing. Nice decor- and very cozy. Was a little different with owner on-site but we didn’t interact with them at all. Counter/toaster oven area was a bit messy when we checked in and some spots in the fridge had some food spots- otherwise everything else was tip top shape.

Peaceful and Relaxing!

Beautifully decorated cabin with a very cozy atmosphere! A perfect place to unplug and unwind! Hosts were very gracious! Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful lakefront

Beautiful and quiet location. We were able to fish off the dock and enjoy the sunsets and the loons. Host couple were very helpful and very friendly. The cabin was very clean and very cute. We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back.

Park Rapids Guest House

The property is so relaxing and so beautiful. The interior is decorated so well and all of the supplies are provided that made it so easy to just unpack and head out to the swing looking at the water. The hosts are on property and kind and helpful.

Fall getaway

This cozy cottage overlooking the lake was exactly what we were looking for. It was very clean and loved the knotty pine interior. We timed it just right with the fall colors and caught fish. The hosts were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Charming cabin with a great sunset view. It was just as described and had everything we hoped for. The owners were great and checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. We would stay again!

Excellent!

We were looking at the last minute for a cabin to enjoy a weekend away with our two boys and we were so happy to havd found this cabin . The cabin is absolutely beautiful and cozy and it has everything you need for your stay. The hosts are on site and were more than gracious and accommodating (especially withvour boys), which we appreciated so much. We highly recommend this cabin and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful vacation spot year round

We had an amazing stay! The owners were wonderful and friendly. Our kids ages 2 & 6 had a blast fishing, swimming, playing in the sand and exploring around the cabin. This cabin is perfect for a family with 1-2 small children or a romantic get a way. The cabin is cozy and beautiful inside with a double sided fire place! The bedroom and main space windows face west perfect for watching the sunset or a storm roll in.

Clean cabin, beautiful location

We enjoyed our time at the cabin with our 2 year old! He loved watch all the boats go by and play at the beach. Kayaks to use were perfect for our early mornings and with the lake so calm it was so peaceful. The cabin was clean and all we needed! The owners reached out to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to travel that way.

Wow!

This is a beautiful cabin in an idyllic lake setting. The outside of the building is pretty nondescript, but the inside is even prettier than the photos. Many, many nice touches, from the homey decor to the lighting and mounted hooks in bath and bedroom (lack of hooks/towel rods is a pet peeve of mine). It rained - a lot - so we couldn’t take advantage of the swing, dock and kayaks as we had hoped. We’ll do that next time! Note;: Waking up with (live) loon calls just outside our window was amazing!!

Wonderful Experience!

The property owners were wonderful and welcoming. The cabin is super clean and comfortable with plenty of towels and a well stocked kitchen. We were concerned about not having a stove but between the gas grill, outdoor griddle, microwave and toaster oven we had everything we needed. For just the two of us the cabin was quite large. It is just steps from the lake, has two docks, 300 feet of shoreline and beautiful sunsets. We really appreciated the use of kayaks and canoe as well as the beach. It is close to downtown Park Rapids, the Paul Bunyan and Heartland Bike Trails and only 20 minutes from Itasca State Park which also has great bike trails. Long Lake is very clean and we really enjoyed all the wildlife, especially the loons in this bay. Part of me wants to keep this sweet little cabin a secret....because it is just so special. I can't imagine anyone not loving it here. Thank you Mark and Sharla for letting us enjoy your beautiful cabin and property!
