Wedding getaway

We loved this location. We had a wedding at The Big Sky Barn in Montgomery and it is a 2 minute drive from that venue. It was great. The place was spacious, and classy, and plenty or room. The host is so gracious and left us donuts and water. Was very hands off but always attentive for our every need. There is a air hockey table and games. Plenty of bathrooms. You're not too close to neighbors but just a 10 minute drive from the lake, or food, or grocery stores. Overall we had a wonderful time and definitely would book here again.

Wedding weekend

We attended as wedding at the Old Dobbin Station and stayed here for the weekend. The house was perfect! Great location and so much room. The house was super clean and the check in/check out process was seamless. Highly recommend!

Weekend Away

Stayed here for Thanksgiving with the Family. Lots of space for us and the kids. Great location. Loved having a fireplace to do smores at night. Place was very clean and tidy.

Trip for my son's wedding

This home is the best location for attending a wedding at Iron Manner, which is less than a 5-minute drive away. The house is immaculate and decorated so nicely. There was plenty of room to spread out for my husband, myself, my son and granddaughter. There were many special touches including some super special snacks which my 16-year-old granddaughter devoured over our 3-night, 4-day stay. Even though the house is set back quite a way from the road, there was road noise in the master bedroom. But that cannot be helped by the host.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

We had a wonderful stay at Pearson’s cottage this weekend! The home was immaculate and very comfortable! Beds were comfy! Plenty of space for my husband and me and our 2 adult children. Large kitchen and living room area! Convenient to our family’s home just across the lake. Also only 20 minutes to lots of restaurants on I-45 in Conroe and the wedding venue just south west. LOVED the way you styled the home using memories of your grandparents! So so homey! Thanks for the yummy monster cookies too!

Excellent - Short Stay for Wedding

I would give this six stars if I could. Booked for two nights for daughter's wedding, and our only regret is that we were so busy we could not really enjoy the house. But everything is perfect - location, hospitality, accommodations. The hosts go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

Amazing!

The house is so cute and very close to our wedding venue, Big Sky Barn. Crystal, the owner, went out of her to make my daughter and her bridesmaids feel welcome and comfortable. Communication was excellent! I highly recommend Pearson Cottage.

Wedding weekend

This cottage was the perfect atmosphere for our family wedding weekend. It felt so warm and welcoming. The host was highly responsive and attentive to every detail. Cutest Cottage

We were so fortunate to find this home just minutes from the venue we were attending a wedding at. From initial check in to our departure, all of the details were perfect. There really wasn’t anything we could’ve asked for to make our stay more enjoyable. Beautifully decorated and again, all toiletries and other necessities are provided. Really feels like home. My kids especially loved the gourmet cookies and snacks upon arrival! Thank you for sharing you’re home with us!

Great Stay for a weekend event

Stayed here with my groomsman for my wedding rehearsal night. Wonderful home with plenty of space for parking multiple cars when you have a gathering.

Lovely House…even better host!

We stay in the area on the regular. We usually stay at the Bentwater Villas. Not anymore! The house was so clean and comfortable. The host even decorated the house for Easter! If you need a wonderful house with so many fine touches by the host…this is for you! We will be back for sure.

Wedding weekend

Stayed at VRBO to attend a wedding of our daughter at the Big Sky Barn wedding venue nearby. Accommodations were great! Very comfortable and a beautiful home. Convenience to the Big Sky Barn/Iron Manor was great—3 minutes away. It was the perfect place to stay for the event.

Great location near wedding venue!

We had a wedding at Iron Manor and rented the house for the weekend. It was a perfect location and the house is beautifully updated with lots of space. The house was also very nicely stocked with essentials for the stay including coffee, snacks, towels, etc! The host was wonderful to work with and very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend 10/10!!

Wedding weekend

My family and I (7 of us) were in town for a wedding and stayed there for 2 days. The house was very spacious and clean. Crystal was awesome to work with and made our stay feel like home. It’s definitely a ten out of ten!

Pearson cottage

We had a two night stay to attend a wedding right down the street from this house. Very nicely decorated had plenty of extra treats, coffee, snacks and even some soft drinks in the refrigerator. We would stay here again!

I'm a soon to be 30-year Montgomery resident happily married to a fourth-generation Montgomery alumni. I'm a wife, a mother to 2 amazing kids, and a baker/caterer who can now add painter, and some-what expert on wallpaper to my list. Being a VRBO host has been one of the most rewarding experiences. I've always had a passion for interior design/decor so this has been an amazing way to express that and create something cozy and inviting to share with others.

This precious home is near and dear to our hearts. Built in the early 1980's by James and Gertie Pearson (affectionately known as Poppa Pete and Grandma Gertie) we just couldn't let it leave the family. There are numerous memories sprinkled throughout the home and we hope you love it as much as we do.

A lot of love (along with some blood, sweat and tears) was poured into every detail of this old girl's facelift. She's new again, but still warm, relaxing and feels like home.
