CapitalCityVacay welcomes you to our charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath property located in the heart of Lansing, Michigan. This modern Boho inspired home is great for families and offers a comfortable retreat for travelers seeking a convenient and memorable stay in the capital city. Located only 5 miles from MSU campus and 4 miles to downtown Lansing and Sparrow Hospital.

Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a large open living room featuring a 50" flat-screen Smart TV. The TV is already connected to use with your favorite apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Prime.

The fully stocked kitchen has a gas stove and all stainless steel appliances. You can enjoy your meals at the adjacent dining area, featuring a large bay window and decorative art piece made from cutting boards.

The three bedrooms have been furnished to ensure a peaceful night's sleep with blackout curtains. The primary bedroom boasts a comfortable queen-sized bed with an ensuite bathroom & subway tile. The other two bedrooms offer cozy full-sized beds. Soft linens, fresh towels, and bathroom supplies are provided for your convenience.

All properties with CapitalCityVacay include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi & a washer and dryer.

Just like home

This property was so relaxing and convenient for us. We loved having all of the amenities of home. The property manager was very responsive communication and answered all of my questions promptly. The decore was tasteful and modern. We highly recommend this property.

Clean and spacious inside

Pleasantly surprised. The inside rooms were clean and surprisingly spacious. The furniture and beds were new and comfortable. The property manager Brent was pleasant and helpful.

Modern bungalow in Lansing

We stayed two nights. The interior of the home is true to photos and descriptions with a spacious master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Black out curtains were great and it was very quiet for sleeping. The host (Brent) was very prompt in responding to our text for help with logging in to wifi.

I don’t generally write negative reviews, but we were looking forward to this stay, and were ultimately disappointed. I think what made me write this is that in their guest book inside the home, many guests dating 2-3 years ago had similar concerns or suggestions and it appears they have not remedied most of them. The pictures of the home make the house look cute, trendy and up to date; however, I feel like for the price we paid, we were quite displeased. The neighborhood was not what we were expecting for that price point. The front porch looked awful. It needs a quick pressure wash, new paint or stain. Front lock sticks a little upon entry (5 min adjustment to locks), repaint front door, Master sink doesn’t drain properly (also should be quick fix), master tub has access panels that won’t stay in place (command strips), extremely dim dining room lighting, tons of bugs in basement, trash/old washers/& just junk in basement, replace stained towels/wash cloths, linens, probably need new rugs or rugs to be washed. At first glance, the house looks clean, but then you see lots of stains, dirt, scrapes, etc on doors/walls. It’s regular home maintenance and also replacement of home goods that need to be addressed. If we had paid significantly less, I would’ve looked past many of these concerns. I hope my review helps the owners to remedy many of the issues we had, but they’ve clearly known much of this from past reviews in their guestbook and made no effort to improve the home.

We do wish you had reached out to us during your stay, as several of the items you mentioned—such as the tub access panel and slow-draining sink—are things we could have addressed quickly while you were in the home. While our team regularly inspects and maintains the property, certain issues can develop between stays, and unless guests notify us, we are not always aware of them. Regarding cosmetic wear, as a frequently occupied vacation rental with guests and luggage moving through the home year-round, minor scuffs and marks on walls, doors, and other surfaces can occur. While we continuously work to maintain the property to a high standard, it is not practical to repaint or perform touch-ups between every reservation. We also wanted to note that we do pay close attention to guest feedback and continually invest in improvements to the property when it’s shared directly with us. Feedback like yours helps us identify areas that may need additional attention. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention and will be reviewing them with our maintenance and cleaning teams. Thank you again for your stay, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.
