Our family was so happy to stay at the cottage, not only is it set in a beautiful location it has everything and anything you could possibly need, from lake and land toys to snacks and s'more supplies for the bonfire. There was literally nothing negative to say about it. Plus we could bring the dog! If you want a peaceful family friendly stay on the lake this is the place.

We had a fantastic stay, extremely peaceful private and great accommodations on the property. Our kids enjoyed the playground in the front as well as the paddle boats on the lake. If we do visit the area again, we will definitely consider a return stay!!!

The cabin was perfect for our family and pup! The hosts made everything so accommodating. There were s’mores and treats waiting for our kids and even doggie treats for our lab. The cabin is very family oriented. Would highly highly recommend this stay to anyone. We hope to be back!

Our stay here was absolutely incredible! It is clear how much time and effort the hosts put into making this cottage so clean, cozy, and welcoming—it was spotless when we arrived.Communication with the hosts was excellent from start to finish, making our trip seamless. The cottage served as the perfect base for traveling to various Northwoods destinations. By day, we had a blast exploring the lake using the provided kayaks, paddle boards, and paddle boats. By evening, we loved winding down and watching the spectacular sunsets over the water.Highly recommend this beautiful piece of heaven!

Amazing lakefront stay — we’ll be back!We had a fantastic weekend at this cabin. The lake view is beautiful, and the property has all of the water toys and fishing equipment that we needed. We spent hours swimming right off the dock and fishing — such a perfect setup for enjoying the lake.The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We really appreciated how clearly everything was labeled — it made settling in so easy.The location is ideal. We were able to take day trips to Duluth and up the North Shore for hiking, then come back to the quiet lake in the evenings.

We loved our stay at the cottage and hope to return. It had all the water crafts and water toys we wanted which made it so much fun to hangout on the dock by the lake. Access to fishing poles and bikes for the kids was a bonus! We also enjoyed the beautiful campfire set up. The hosts, John and Lori, thought of all the details. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook at home. The cottage was clean and comfortable. This is a great choice for families who want to enjoy the lake while also exploring the North Shore just 40 minutes away.

Allison and her family were great guests! They respected the property, put everything back in its proper place and kept the cottage clean and tidy! We would love to have them back for another visit and would highly recommend them to other hosts!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! We were there with our daughter, her husband, and our one-year old granddaughter. The cottage was even better than the pictures depicted. It was lovely and cozy yet with modern amenities. We had everything we needed, plus we enjoyed the use of the fire pit, the yard toys, swingset, and paddle boat. Thank you for all of the thoughtful touches! We hope to visit again!

Great stay

It was a great place to stay. Not to far of a distance from Duluth and other attractions plus the benefit of being on a lake where you could fish swim etc. will definitely be going back

This cottage exceeded our expectations. It was perfectly situated on a wooded lot with a view of the water through pine trees. It is quiet and peaceful, and on the first afternoon, we heard a loon call. The cottage was spacious, clean and modern, yet had a rustic decor that is just right for a lake vacation. Our party of five had plenty of sleeping room in this two-bedroom cottage. Our grandkids loved swimming off the large dock, and there are swim tubes and toys provided. We also loved using the kayaks. The owners, Lori and Jim, are very friendly and helpful, quickly responding to questions. We would definitely book a stay there again.

We had an absolutely beautiful stay at this cabin on the lake! We are so thankful for our hosts providing so much for our one-year-olds to play with and accommodations for their stay. We loved dining on the back deck overlooking the lake and having a peaceful, quiet place to relax. We can’t wait to go back and get out on the lake.

Wonderful Family Cabin!

We had a fantastic time at this prefect cabin for our family. Cabin is modern with all the amenities you need. Fire pit area was a big hit every night! John and Lori were super nice and accommodating. We plan on visiting again and would highly recommend!

Beautiful & Clean Escape!

Our family (parents toddler) had a great time visiting Lori & John's. A perfect jumping off point to explore the area, and for ending each night by the fire. Would love to come back and recommend to others.

We loved it so much in 2024 that we returned in 2025! This is a great place to unplug, enjoy nature and have a great time with our family. Enjoying s'mores around the fire pit, kayaking and paddle boarding, fishing and taking in beautiful lake are our highlights! Highly recommend!

Great getaway!

This property was amazing! Part of the reason we booked it, was because of its proximity to other fun activities but we could have spent our entire vacation at the cabin! The kids spent hours swimming, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. A great place to make lifelong memories!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We enjoyed every minute & will always cherish these few days making family memories that will last a lifetime. We spent a day in Duluth and a day in Two Harbors. We loved Split Rock & Gooseberry Falls. We even got the canoe on the lake - in October! The cottage was perfect a had everything we needed. Lakeside Peace of Mind

Found John & Lori’s lovely updated cabin overlooking a peaceful lake to be super restful and comfortable. Decorated with a nod to the north woods, very clean, with great beds for napping and numerous spots to sit outside and enjoy natures sights.

Peaceful

We stayed with 4 grkids. The accommodations were perfect. We loved the remote peacefulness. The kids had great fun fishing, swimming, and paddling right from the dock. We would highly recommend if you want a place away from crowds.

Outstanding

Wonderful location. Cabin was beautiful and well appointed. Lake was quiet and the fishing was great! Lori was very attentive and provided treats for our dog and a gift basket for our kiddo. Great experience!

Fun for all!

We absolutely loved our stay here! They have thought of every need you may have! John and Lori were very friendly and very hospitable! House was very clean and comfortable. Kids loved all the activities they had to offer! They have activities for all ages.
