The Pearl is perched on a scenic waterfront bluff, offering panoramic views of Puget Sound. While there isn’t direct beach access from the property, several beautiful public beaches are just a 5 to 10 minute drive away, our favorites being Point No Point and Foulweather Bluff, both great for walking miles along the shore. Point No Point County Park is about a 10 minute drive, home to the oldest lighthouse on Puget Sound, with parking right by the lighthouse or in the overflow lot a short walk out, leading to a beautiful shoreline walk. Foulweather Bluff Preserve is less than 10 minutes away, where a gentle half-mile forest trail from the trailhead opens onto a long, peaceful sandy beach, and orcas, humpbacks, harbor seals, and river otters are sometimes spotted offshore. 20 minutes to Poulsbo, a charming Scandinavian waterfront town with cafes, bakeries, and boutiques. Three ferry connections to Seattle: Bainbridge Island (35 min to downtown waterfront), Kingston Fast Ferry (40 min, passenger only), Washington State Ferry to Edmonds (30 min crossing). One acre of private botanical garden, with resident hummingbirds, eagles, osprey, and the occasional deer. Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, and the Cascades on the horizon. Follow along at @mpearl.wa for a feel for the property and the view.
OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE PETS We’re happy to welcome one house-trained dog, 50 lbs or under and at least one year old. Our pet fee is $42 per night, per dog, and is included in your total at booking Before booking, please message us if your dog is over 40 lbs, under a year old, or if you’re traveling with two dogs. We’d still love to hear from you, we just need to confirm that we’re able to accommodate your pup(s). THE SETTING Hansville sits at the tip of the Kitsap Peninsula, one of the most quietly spectacular corners of the Pacific Northwest. Far enough from the city to feel genuinely remote. Close enough to everything to feel free, not stranded. The neighborhood is peaceful and unhurried, you might spot a family out for an afternoon walk on horseback. Three ferry routes put downtown Seattle within easy reach, whenever you’re ready for a day in the city: the Kingston Fast Ferry (40 minutes, passenger only, walk-on to Pier 50), the Bainbridge Island Ferry (35 minutes, vehicle and passenger, lands near Pike Place Market), or the Edmonds Ferry (30 minute crossing, ideal if you’re driving in). Come home each evening to the kind of quiet that resets everything. A hiking trail runs directly from the property, facing a horse farm across the road. Mother Pearl sits between two of Puget Sound’s historic lighthouses: Skunk Bay Lighthouse (a private, federally commissioned light that has guided ships through these waters for generations) is your nearest neighbor. Point No Point Lighthouse, the oldest on Puget Sound, is a short drive north. Very few places in the Pacific Northwest can make that claim. The Skunk Bay Lighthouse is strictly private, but its distinct red light adds quiet charm to our neighborhood on clear nights. Cozy up by the fireplace and watch majestic bald eagles and ospreys soar above the Sound. This is the Pacific Northwest as it was meant to be experienced. PLANNING YOUR STAY The Pearl books quickly, particularly during summer. International and out-of-state guests are welcome to reserve up to 12 months in advance. Follow us at @mpearl.wa for updates, local tips, and a peek at life on the water.

Acerca del anfitrión
Anfitrión: Stella
Dog mom to a very opinionated French Bulldog, and completely captivated by the Pacific Northwest. I created The Pearl as the kind of place I’d want to stay - where the water is always visible, the kitchen is actually equipped, and the quiet is real. I care deeply about the details that make a stay feel like home rather than a rental. Whether you’re coming for water views, the sunsets, the eagles and the trails, or just to reset, you’re in good hands.
Por qué eligió esta propiedad
Hansville is a quiet and friendly neighborhood at the tip of the Kitsap Peninsula, one of the most breathtakingly beautiful corners of the Pacific Northwest. Just 60 to 90 minutes from Seattle, yet a world away. The kind of place where you might spot a family out for a morning ride on horseback.
Qué distingue a esta propiedad
The Pearl sits between two of Puget Sound's historic lighthouses, steps from a protected wildlife sanctuary. Waterfront, private gym, genuinely dog-friendly, and 20 minutes from the Seattle ferry. It's the kind of place I'd want to stay, where the water is always visible, the kitchen is actually equipped, and the quiet is real.
