Welcome to Halsnoy Haven! From every angle, you’ll be surrounded by all that Lake Superior has to offer in this large, newly renovated property. With one bedroom, two baths and amazing outdoor spaces, it’s perfect for couples and beautiful in all seasons. Watch the sun rise, listen to the crash of the waves and explore the North Shore with ease—Halsnoy Haven is just minutes from some of the North Shore’s most popular hiking, skiing, biking and dining spots.

Inside, you’ll find an immaculate and well-appointed space with all the amenities. Enjoy the spacious living and dining area with vaulted ceilings, large windows, gas fireplace and smart TV. Sliding doors bring the outdoors in with access to a full porch and covered screen porch for amazing Lake Superior views. The updated kitchen features new appliances and granite countertops. Upstairs you’ll find a king-sized bedroom with en suite bath and cozy nook for reading or naps. Outside, the large flat lot includes a gas grill, adironack chairs, double-swing, fire pit and ample parking.

From Halsnoy Haven, it’s 2 minutes to Tofte, 15 minutes to Lutsen Mountain and 45 minutes to Grand Marais by car. Or, walk or bike the paved Gitchee-Gummi trail for miles—there’s an access point at the end of our driveway. Cross-country ski lovers can join the Sugarbush Trail System just across highway 61. Nearby attractions include Superior National Golf Course, Lutsen Ski Resort and Temperance River State Park.

This property was amazing. We loved the peaceful location with shopping and restaurants still nearby. When we walked in, we both said, "Wow, look at that view." The home was clean, well-stocked and the covered porch was where we spent most evenings. Check-in and out were very easy. We will be back!

Wonderful view at the lake side and loved both the screened porch and the open deck - perfectly positioned to enjoy the lake view and sounds! Comfortable and had everything we needed and location was great.

North Shore in July

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Halsnoy Haven, and really enjoyed the place. The description was spot-on…well-appointed living spaces, excellent screened and open porch. Having access to the garage was unexpected but appreciated…with heavy storms for a day-plus, able to keep the car protected. That same stormy day, we took full advantage of the jigsaw puzzle collection that was available! I’d certainly recommend this lovely cabin for two people wanting to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing few days

Superior Serenity

Halsnoy Haven is a wonderful house and property. The panoramic view of Lake Superior is so impressive from the outside deck, the enclosed deck or behind the big windows and sliders across the front of the house.The house is very well designed and fully fitted out to support a great stay. It was so comfortable and beautiful that we only left the house to hike - no restaurants have a better view and we like to cook.

Peaceful and Beautiful

We ended up with rain during our stay which gave a foggy view, but we could still hear the water and it was heavenly. The place is beautiful and the accomodations were top notch.

Such a nice, well cared for home in an ideal setting. Throw in the beautiful sunrises and the moon shimmering across the lake, and it doesn't get much better!

Peaceful

Halsnoy Haven is a gem tucked just off Hwy 61 overlooking Lake Superior. It is extremely cozy and immaculate. We would definitely book this property again. It is in close proximity to many sights, trails and yet is very private. The bed was very comfortable.

The house was exactly as listed. The three season porch is where we spent the majority of our time overlooking Lake Superior.

We originally booked the cabin for 7 days for our wedding anniversary. We were reluctant to leave this beautiful well-appointed cabin with superb views of Lake Superior and were able to add 2 more days to our stay. We sat on the enclosed deck every night listening to the waves gently hitting the shore. My wife loved taking pictures of the Strawberry moon rising over the lake and leaving a trail of moonbeams. The area reminds us of Colorado without the altitude. There are Aspens, Birch and Pine trees with waterfalls and fast running streams, lakes and plenty of great hikes. We enjoyed the Bluefin Grill and Coho Café in nearby Tofte as well as the Schroeder Baking Company. Linda, the host, was very accessible and quickly responded to any questions. This is definitely one of the nicest VRBO properties we have visited.

Highlight of our trip

This is a great home and gorgeous property - so glad we went above our usual budget to stay at it. The views from the living areas and porches were amazing and we were happy just enjoying that view! The home is comfortable, nicely outfitted and decorated. A treat!

Awesome week in Tofte

Beautiful location, quiet, right on Lake Superior. Well furnished, actually comfortable seating and bed, covered indoor and outdoor deck. Lots of birds migrating thru: hummingbirds, cedar waxwings, and more. Convenient to lots of waterfall hikes. Thank you!

Wonderful getaway

The home exceeded all expectations. It offered beautiful views of Lake Superior, lovely interior accommodations, a well stocked kitchen, and a location that allowed for many day hikes on the Lake Superior Trail.

Lovely long weekend getaway

AWESOME! A great relaxing weekend with beautiful views. Great location, close to many hiking trails. Many options for eating out but the kitchen is great if you want to stay in. A perfect getaway for me and my husband.

Modern cabin on Lake Superior

Cozy but very stylish cabin. Loved the Scandinavian feel and decor; everything we needed was supplied. Location is not far from Grand Marais for suppers out. We enjoyed the sound of the waves and the beautiful views.

Paradise for Two

The house is well equipped and has a well designed layout. The views of Superior are incredible, especially from the open and enclosed decks. It was very relaxing to watch the moods of Superior.
