The property was great. The house was very clean and nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. Great house for the price we paid. Highly recommend staying there!

We loved the house! It was so clean and in a perfect location. The only two things that we didn't like was the water wasn't very hot when taking a shower and the water was yellowish and had an odd smell. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the quietness of the property.

I'm so sorry you thought the water had an unpleasant smell. When you are used to city water that is treated with chlorine, country water with its natural occurring minerals can be a surprise. Be assured that the well water has been tested and is safe to use. I hope we will see you back again.

This property exceeded our expectations. It was clean, sparkling actually, and bright and airy. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen well stocked. The quiet setting was so peaceful. I loved watching the hummingbirds and butterflies outside. I loved the windows and the comfortable chairs. This rental was as perfect as you can get!

We planned a long 4th of July weekend to meet up with our daughter who was taking a summer course nearby at the Field Station. The house was perfect, location was very quiet yet we were close to some great seafood restaurants and Chincoteague Island. Would definitely recommend for a quite getaway yet close enough to drive to the hustle and bustle.Our host was quick to respond to the couple of questions we had and was very accommodating.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is clean, quaint and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped, lots of books, puzzles, games. It was very relaxing off the beaten path, but still close enough to restaurants and attractions. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice place in a farm like setting. Clean and nicely decorated. It’s close to Chincoteague beach and other local attractions. I will gladly stay again in the future.

Cute and comfortable

We had a good time, it’s off the beaten path but just barely and the surrounding fields were beautiful. We enjoyed the full kitchen, puzzles/games and the surrounding area.

Spring Break 2015

This property was perfectly located in between Chincoteague Island and Janes Island State Park which were both destinations that I wanted to visit on my Spring Break. The property is rural and quiet.

Quiet convenient location

Great location close to main road but quiet and removed from the busy tourist area of the island. Clean property with all the necessities. Quick and easy communication with property manager..

Perfect vacation!

This is the best way to do the beach! Comfortable, clean, spacious, well-stocked home in a beautiful area. Only 30 minutes to the beach, but you come home to solitude, peace, and gorgeous sunsets. Excellent communication. Highly recommend!

Quiet and Peaceful

This was a perfect location to explore Chincoteague, Ocean City and surrounding areas. You can watch the deer and wild turkeys from afar. So relaxing and restful. The home was super clean and tiddy.

We had the best time! Very quiet surroundings. Great sunsets. Lots of natural light throughout cottage. Plenty of books to read to suit many tastes as well as brochures for thimgs to do. Fun listening and seeing nature. Plenty to do in the area. Spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds, large closets and dressers. Comfy living room furniture. Yoga upstairs was nice. Great kitchen stocked well. Plenty of storage cabinets. Don't miss out on this one! Planning to come back.

The property is beautiful and every space is very spacious and comfortably appointed. It is isolated but at the same time very close to Walmart and Food Lion, and just 15 minutes away from Wallops, and 30 from Chincoteague. The kitchen was extremely well supplied, including cooking oil, salt and other conveniences that we have seldom found in rentals (we had actually brought our own). Because of its location, the sky was full of stars. Only instructions for dealing with trash on departure were confusing. Overall, this was an excellent choice for our trip.

Renovation Escape

My husband and I were working on a fixer upper that we recently purchased. It was great to get back to this place as we were covered in construction dirt. The house was spacious, very clean, and well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet and we were able to see some of the local wildlife in the mornings.

Better Than Perfect

I wanted to be close to Chincoteague / Assateaugue and get in some beach time but also wanted downtime and seclusion from the hustle and bustle of a beach town. When this place came up in my search I knew it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. The pictures are great and give a true sense of the cottage. It is EVEN BETTER in person. It is set on a beautiful open field. We saw so many deer and wild turkeys. The property is quiet --- so peaceful and a wonderful retreat. The upstairs sitting room was an added bonus to the living space. The hosts have done an amazing job at decorating - simple and inviting. I loved all the books tucked in and around the sofa! The kitchen has everything you need and then some. The hosts have thought of everything to make you feel at home. If I could I would rent this cottage for the whole summer. Gas and groceries are not far. And the drive into Chincoteague was not long at all. We even drove up to OCMD one of our days there and also not a bad drive.
