Chincoteague vacation

We had a pleasant stay. The yard was in need of being cleaned up, but over all it was a nice place. We would stay there again.

Clean House. Living room was comfortable for me and my dog. Kitchen was very clean. Bathroom was very clean.

Check in was easy quiet area but, house needs a lot of work.It’s definitely a fixer upper hopefully it’ll be done soon. Best thing it was pet friendly which really means a lot.

A large and expensive amount of work was done last year and the year before. Would be nice to provide examples prior to making a vague statement.

Older house with obvious wear and tear near the bay. It is a good house to bring a family to in a good location. You can tell they're working to make updates when they can.

Peaceful Easy Feeling

My family just returned from a wonderful weekend in Greenbackville. This was our second trip to this home. The house is clean, spacious and well stocked with all the supplies we needed in the kitchen and bath areas. We will definitely book another stay. The owner was great to deal with and was quick to answer any questions we had. We love the area and enjoy our morning coffee on the back deck in such a peaceful environment. We even saw a bald eagle one morning - so majestic! Easy drive to Chincoteague, Pocomoke & Berlin.

The property was far (about 20 miles) from Chincoteague which also was the closest church, beach, activities, restaurants etc. The house needs quite a bit of work but nothing was terrible. I would recommend new towels and kitchen linen (ie dish towels and hand towels). The appliances all worked but need to be cleaned up or replaced.

Pure Serenity

Total peace & quiet: We had an amazing stay at Dimitry’s place! The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Back yard was awesome. Our dog loved it. We felt right at home and enjoyed every moment of our trip. Property description was accurate. For the age of the home the necessary upgrades were made but the charm of the house is still intact. Host was quick to respond to any questions and was accommodating when we requested to adjust the dates of our trip. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place off Chincoteague Island. Easy drive to Chincoteague & Berlin, Md.

ok place but non-responsive owner

House is a fixer-upper that the current owner has done a lot of work on. Basic amenities are good. Owner didn't provide instructions about wireless access. I messaged him shortly after we arrived but he didn't respond. Fortunately, I found a piece of paper in a bedside nightstand that had the password, so we were eventually able to overcome the problem. Still, the failure to respond was unacceptable.

I was in great need of a retreat from city living. This certainly was out of the city!I wish I had realized ahead of time that in the middle of the week there would be nowhere nearby to get food. The restaurants mentioned weren't open on Tuesday/Wednesday when I was there. The closest grocery store was in Snow Hill a 20 min drive north and it was under renovation so inventory was limited. I had to drive to Berlin another 20 minutes north of Snow Hill. I could have gone south to Chincoteague instead, but that was a 30 minute drive. I probably would have had more options if I had chosen that route. If I had realized this I would have provisioned on my way south instead of having to make a special trip. The house was just fine. It was more house than I needed for my dog & myself. I ended up sleeping in the living room rather than going up to one of the bedrooms because it felt cozier since I was on my own. Some of the things were newly renovated, but all in all it wasn't. That doesn't bother me, it's just helpful to know ahead of time.I think if I had been with friends it would have been more fun. It felt a little lonely on my own.In reality, it was quiet, cool, acceptable and an easy get away. Thanks for the visit. I'm grateful.

It’s definitely older house charm to this place. My wife and I enjoyed or time here as well as our dog. It’s not super far from anything. Chicoteaque is only 20 minutes away and the beach is only 5 more minutes. Gas is 40-50 cents cheaper here in Virginia than back home . It’s a quiet little town which makes for a good vacation in my book. The host Dimitri answered all my questions as they popped up and seems to be a good host .
