SHOW UP, RELAX, ENJOY! IT'S THAT SIMPLE...



Here's what you get at Karr Beach House on Franklin...a comfortable beach cottage designed to feel "beachy" and provide you with everything you need to relax and enjoy as soon as you step through the door. 

Our house was built in 1926 and we've managed to retain much of it's charm and character without sacrificing our guests convenience and comfort. 



Play Pac-Man on a real arcade game, including other fun arcade games!

Relax in the comfy home, walk to downtown (10 min) along the ocean shore on the promenade, play in the water, barbecue your favorite meal, have a bonfire on the beach (1 block away)...It’s all ready and waiting for you!

Our house is dog friendly, and so is the beach! The entire beach is an off-leash dog paradise (owners are VERY responsible and attentive to their dogs). It's a great opportunity for your dog to run around, and make some new friends. Also, our yard is fenced in for your four-legged friend. REMINDER: We won't charge you a pet fee!

NOTE: Our house will sleep 8 people, but it's pretty tight for 8 adults, especially when there are multiple women. The bunk beds are more suitable for teenagers or small adults. The one bathroom is the main issue for a large group with multiple women. We frequently have 8 guests and it works out just fine for them. Please consider these points before booking this house. If you determine it'll work for your group, book away!!

King bed, Queen (Casper mattress!) bed, bunk beds (2 beds total), a pull out couch, and a pack n play crib.

1 gas BBQ, 1 charcoal BBQ

The kitchen is a bit small and dated, but otherwise it’s a cute older home with a comfortable vibe. Totally recommend!

House was clean and couches and beds were comfortable. The fenced front yard which was nice if bringing a dog. Nice short walk to beach and not too long to the main street.Couldn't find any hand towels for bathroom and only 3 bath towels. I wish the curtain in the bathroom window wasn't see through. Also would be nice if had more spoons for eating. Had a nice time and the neighborhood was quiet and not much traffic on roads near it.

Great stay!

Great stay for a group of 4 adults with a baby. Close to the beach and a nice fenced in yard for pups. Perfect for baby’s first trip out of the big city.

Great location!

We appreciated the short walk to the beach and that the house was a bit off the beaten path. The house was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

The beach access is great - just a block away. The house was clean and comfortable. I would definitely not book it for 8 people - I would say it would sleep 6, but the living/sitting space would be tight even with 6 - we had 4 adults and 2 dogs.

Wonderful spot!

Great spot for our one-night retreat with middle schoolers. It was cozy, but just right for us. The proximity to everything in Seaside was excellent.

Very pet and friendly beach house

Our family of 5 had a great time at this house. Perfect size and loved having a little yard to let dogs out and even the 5 year old play in. Bedrooms were nicely arranged. Short little walk to beach. We would love to stay here again.

It was a quant beach house. Close to the beach. Perfect for a morning walk. Plenty of towels and bedding. Nice large dining table to play games on. Our family enjoyed our stay. Would love to stay there again.

Pros: Easy check in/out Spacious for 7 guests Lots of supplies in the kitchen. Close to the beach Cons: pet hair all over the bed sheets, and all over the carpet. Difficult to sleep on the beds without feeling itchy from the dog or cat hair that was all over the pillow cases and bed sheets :/ Old feel from furniture and carpet Overall, could be cleaner

Very close to the beach, had everything we needed to stay, we did find a bunch of cherrios around the dining room table floor, and a bit on the dusty side. We will probably find a different property to stay when we come back to stay in seaside next year.

Close to beach, cozy cottage

My family spent Christmas day gathering here to play games and catch up, and had a lovely time. The gas fireplace made us cozy and warm even though it was raining outside. It is just a short walk to the prom and beach, too.

Great place for a family

What a great place! It was just as listed and had everything we needed and more (lots of fun beach items in the garage). Really appreciated all the extra blankets and towels as well. Loved the bunk beds and Pac-Man game for my kids. It’s also an easy, quick walk to the beach.

Highly recommend! Would stay again!

I lost count on how many times I came back to this home to rent for the weekend with my family when I was on the hunt for a home! This was my first time renting a house! The whole process very simple! Would absolutely rent this lovely home again!!!

Family reunion fun!

We had a wonderful stay for our family of 7. The property had everything we needed. Comfortable house and quiet neighborhood. It is not a modern home, but a fun beach house that is comfortable, welcoming, and decorated with love.

We grew up and lived in the Portland area and enjoyed Seaside for most of our lives. Recently, we moved to Phoenix AZ! We hope our house has everything you want and need. If not, please let us know!

We love Seaside. It's only 1.5 hours away from the Portland area and is the quintessential beach town. Seaside offers everything we looked for in a beach town. Downtown Seaside is about 11 blocks away from the house and is less than a 15 minute walk.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Our house is our second home. We set it up so we could visit at any time and not have to worry about bringing a bunch of things with us. We want this to be the same for our renters. We want our guests to feel at home at our house and we make it as easy as possible to do that. We also have an easy entrance system in place so there's no need to stop by and pick up a key. We also make it easier on our guests by not asking them to clean when they leave. We want your stay to be as relaxing and trouble-free as possible.
