Being on the Oregon Coast, occasional insects can sometimes make their way inside due to the natural beach environment, but the concerns you mentioned regarding dog hair and the condition of the rugs should not have occurred and were taken seriously by our team. Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad the home provided enough space for your group and appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. We do want to clarify a few items mentioned in your review. The door code was released at the same time we received your text message, so there should not have been a delay accessing the property. Regarding the camera found on the mantle, our cleaners intentionally left it there in case the previous guest contacted us so we could arrange to have it shipped back to them. The mantle itself was thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival. After your stay, we also contacted a roofing vendor to inspect the skylight concern. They went onto the roof and monitored the area over several days, including after additional weather, and found no evidence of an active leak. The home is also equipped with instant water heaters. Unless an unusually large amount of hot water is used at once, the system should replenish and reheat very quickly, typically within about 10–20 minutes. As noted in the house instructions, guests are asked to place garbage bins at the curb and start light checkout tasks such as stripping beds to help our team prepare the home efficiently for incoming arrivals. We understand those requests may not suit every guest’s preferences. We appreciate your stay and your feedback, as it helps us continue improving the guest experience.

There are too many false items in this review to fully address but we can assure you there is not and has never been a bug problem. The towels were brand new (washed 2 times but may have still been shedding slightly) and while it’s possible that not every dish was inspected by the cleaning crew (sometimes a rogue slightly dirty dish from a guest clean up makes it to the bottom of the dish drawer) we hold ourselves and our cleaners to the highest standards of cleanliness. Upon receiving a complaint of a potato bug in the slider threshold, we let the guests know we would come by to inspect and clean it up. The guest declined and made it pretty clear they would be posting a negative review if we did not refund their money. We have a hard and fast policy to no longer engage if a guest resorts to threats. I would encourage anyone who is concerned looking at our listing to not only look at the reviews both before and after these guests, but to look at the thousands of positive reviews over multiple properties we manage.
