This one of a kind spot is located on the beautiful Sassafras River. Tranquility mixed with nature at its best on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This cozy stone cottage offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with loved ones, family or friends. It is perfect for a couples get-away. It is situated on one acre and is a stone's throw from the river. From watching a passing boat, to bird watching, fishing or kyacking , there is plenty to admire and enjoy. It offers a full kitchen including quartzite countertops, stove/oven , microwave and refrigerator/freezer. There is one bedroom with a TV and a queen sofa bed in open floor plan. There is a knotty pine board ceiling thru out the cottage. The bathroom features a glass shower with a pebble stone floor. The magnificent view from the large windows is fantastic. A swing from the tree is relaxing along with the andirondack chairs near the fire- pit. A table and chairs for dinner sits beautifully on the porch near the barbecue grill.

Great honeymoon stay!

My wife and I choose this little cottage by the river as a great way to “decompress” before going on our overseas honeymoon to Europe - it was amazing! Tami gave us flowers, balloons, and two bottles of champagne to congratulate us - she goes above and beyond all expectations, and I highly recommend choosing her for your next trip!

A very quiet and relaxing few days at the Stone Riverside Cottage in one of the most beautiful settings one could hope to find. Perfect for the two of us and we were happy to meet Bill and Tami our thoughtful hosts. We will return soon.

Beautiful setting

We had a great time at the cottage. Everything we needed was there for a relaxing, quiet few days. The views, the birdwatching, kayaking are just a few of the things we enjoyed most. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. We would love to come back!

Peaceful Cottage Stay

Beautiful area and Cottage

Amazing! The view is incredible. We had beautiful weather all weekend. Tami came over one day and introduced herself, and asked us if we needed anything. She was very helpful, and supplied us with more information about the area. We really liked the cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. We even saw a baby owl perched above the kayaks in the rafters.

Relaxing river views

This cottage had amazing views and was extremely clean. The hosts were very friendly and stopped by to meet us. Perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

Wonderful, quiet weekend

This is truly the perfect weekend getaway. The location is great, and is literally steps away from the river. House was very quiet and cozy and was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The host was very kind and responsive, was happy to check in on us but gave us our space. It was the perfect quiet weekend for my husband and I. We would gladly go back!

Exceptional Hospitality and Accommodations

Tami & Bill's wee stone house by the Sassafras River is so cozy and welcoming. We loved everything about our stay. It was so relaxing, private and very comfortable. We had so much fun on the tree swing for two, and the private dock, paddle boat, and choice of several kayaks all included in our stay, and at our disposal. Thank you again Tami and Bill!

Peace and Serenity

The location of this delightful stone cottage on the Sassafras River with its gently flowing waters was so relaxing. The cottage has large picture windows in the main living area providing excellent views in both directions of the river, allowing one to see all manner of birds fishing and gliding on its surface. We enjoyed having meals outside on the deck facing the river and relaxing or reading on the lovely swing. We can envision future trips to this gem for rejuvenation.

Grateful!

This property is like a little "glimpse of heaven" on earth! The views are so lovely - the "river" appears more like a lake and we had some spectacular sunsets. The cottage is delightful with many special touches. The huge Osage Orange tree provided shade and entertainment - squirrels were fun to watch. Our week there didn't go as planned - one of us ended-up in the hospital. Tami and Bill were so very kind when our two daughters came to our rescue - they took them on a kayak tour and Bill took all of us on a pontoon tour before we left. They are generous to a fault -they rescued our vacation! We can't thank them enough. Highly recommend this property!

Weekend Getaway at Riverside Cottage

We had a great stay at Stone Riverside Cottage. The hosts were great and everything was very easy. The cottage is nice and updated with amazing views of the river. There are so many ways to relax and enjoy the peaceful scenery. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing off the dock, and watching an amazing sunset. We will definitely be back. Thanks! Marcus

Perfect Getaway!

The location and cottage are beautiful! The amazing, large windows connect you with nature when you are comfortably sitting inside and the stunning trees provide a shady spot to relax outside at any time of the day. It was everything we dreamed of in having a beautiful space to connect with a loved one.

Our favorite VRBO

This was our second visit to the riverfront cottage. You can always rate your stay by how much you hate to leave. The owners have put great effort in making their guests comfortable. The cottage is very clean and very comfortable. The water view is incredible from both inside and outside of the property. My wife and I were looking for a relaxing location and this property is perfect. The host was friendly and eager to make us comfortable. We will be back as soon as we can!

River Paradise

Perfect small cottage with picturesque riverside scenery. Extremely quiet and relaxing. Chill by the firepit at night and watch the stars with clear skys. Used the paddle boat and fished on the dock during the day. Small town about 10 minutes away with nice restaurants. We drove to Rehoboth Beach one day (about 1 hour and 20 minute drive). Finished off our last night with a wicked thunderstorm. Plenty of other accommodations such as grill, outside porch with table, tree swing, modern kitchen, puzzles, TV. We also got to meet the hosts. Both were warm, welcoming and a pleasure to speak with. Thank you!

Beautiful riverfront cottage

There are not enough stars to describe how wonderful our experience was at this lovely cottage. We were looking for relaxation. Perfect! The view was wonderful and, more importantly, the cottage is designed to incorporate the view while relaxing inside and outside. Cleanliness is always a priority for me when picking a new property to visit. Perfect again! It is very evident the owner also understands that cleanliness is important to her visitors. Convenience also perfect. We needed nothing. Everything is well thought out. This was, by far, the best VRBO experience we have had, and we have had many. Tami is an incredible host. She must work very hard to ensure a great experience for her guests because it showed in every aspect of our visit! Thank you Tami!

Wonderful place to vacation.

Absolutely a gorgeous cottage right on the water. It is well maintained by the Tammie and Bill. There is plenty of things to do on the property and great area to bicycle and even to ride into to town.

Great stay!

I used this cottage as a place to get ready for my wedding! It was a perfect size for me and all my bridesmaids to get ready. The place was beautiful and we even got really nice outdoor photos with all the bridal party by the water

Birthday getaway

We have stayed at a few Vrbo houses and this place was our favorite by far. Tami left balloons, flowers, and a cake for my birthday. The house is gorgeous with everything we needed. We spent our time bird watching and fishing. The pier was an excellent addition we didn’t know there was one. Excellent for star gazing on a clear night too from the pier. We will be staying again! Thank you for making my birthday extra special!

Cozy cottage with fabulous water views

We just returned from 4 relaxing days at this cottage on the Sassafras River. The cottage is beautiful! Everything is new, decorated perfectly, cozy and comfortable. I slept so well. The weather was perfect so we spent our time on the porch, on the swing, on the floating dock, and even enjoyed an evening fire by the firepit. The owners came by - such kind and generous people - shared the story of the cottage and made us feel at home. We even got a boat ride up the river! Tami brought fresh cut magnolia branches/blossoms for the living room. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, or you can do nothing at all and just unwind. We did a little of both. Can’t wait to visit again!
