Property is a bit more dated than photos appear. Upstairs and downstairs do not connect from the inside. Which is not uncommon in this area due to hurricanes but we were surprised by that. Over all good value for our family. We had a boat which is a must.

Photo Shoot

Utilized this perfect property as a staging area for a photo shoot we were trying to compose for a new boat model. While the weather did not cooperate fully, the property was fabulous

We stayed 4 days with family and friends. However the house is not kept up. It is very dated and I guess the best way of saying it is falling apart. The kitchen cabinets are delaminating and some have coverings missing. Missing piece of base board. The pool is dangerous. It has a large patched hole in the bottom that is not smooth. It was so rough one of our guest hurt their toe and big toe nail. The coping is missing near the stairs. Jagged concrete exposed near the steps to enter and exit the pool. The exterior of the house is un kept. Weeds surround the house almost 3’ tall. All garbage cans were full when we arrived. The flies ruined our evenings on the pool deck and were in the house. The host did have the trash picked up on Sunday. The last day of our stay. The gas grill was so full of grease we were worried it would catch fire when we cooked. It has not been cleaned or serviced in a long time. We heard a loud whistling the entire time we were there. Contacted the host on Friday. We discovered it was the mechanics in the toilet. Host was unable to find a handy man to fix the problem. Notified him the water in the toilet was continuously running on our last day there. The bottom stair railings are loose and probably not the safest. The dock is not in the greatest of shape. The host was aware we had 3 boats coming. Dock only had 2 cleats. I feel kinda silly for purchasing the accidental damage insurance. I was embarrassed had invited friends.

I am writing to formally document several significant issues regarding our recent stay. While the host allowed an early check-in, the property was not in a habitable or accurately described state.Critical Utility Issues:No Water/Sanitation: A handyman was replacing the water heater upon arrival, but the cold water lines repeatedly cracked. He departed after 6:00 PM with the main water line turned off. We had no working toilets for 9 people and were forced to manually flush by pouring buckets of water into the basins.Continued Disruption: Repairs continued the following day, requiring the water to be shut off again, leaving us without facilities until we departed for the day at 1:00 PM.Misrepresentation of Amenities:Missing Hot Tub: The listing advertised a hot tub; none was present. Incomplete Kitchen: The advertised "second kitchen" lacked a refrigerator.Layout Non-Disclosure: The listing failed to mention that two bedrooms and a bathroom are only accessible by exiting the house and descending 19 outdoor stairs. With 4 children this was horrible. We would not have rented had this been in the description.Safety and Hygiene Concerns:Safety Hazards: The wood on the dock ladder was rotten/unstable. Outdoor electrical outlets were left uncovered. Outlet behind downstairs bed does not have a cover and has a water dripping mark. Outside stairs are broken and a tripping hazard.Kitchenware: Pots and pans were rustedI have photos of evidence for most things.

I’m sorry you are having feelings about not being reimbursed for your stay. Many people try this avenue for free vacations. I was not compliant to threats of a bad review unless you received a free stay. This is unfortunately the world we live in now.
