Great house! Everything was very clean and well equipped. The wrap around deck was perfect for a fall weekend.

Beautiful property and felt comfortable the moment you walk in. Plenty of different areas to gather both inside and outside. Well stocked kitchen was really appreciated. The outside area and the screened porch were our favorite places. Area was very peaceful yet close to everything we needed. Highly recommend and hope to stay here again.

We loved sitting on the screened in porch in the beautiful 80 degree, sunny weather and just looking at the lake. We spent a lot of time on the porch. The dock was good for our boat and the pool table was played often. The house was well taken care of and in good shape. We love Hayesville so thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful home. We would definitely stay there again.

Property had everything we needed. The furniture was comfortable (including the beds), everything was well stocked and the porch with all the rocking chairs was the best. Very well cared for property in the middle of nature but close enough to dining and shopping. Lake was wonderful with lots to do.

The location and view was truly wonderful. The lake view with the mountains in the background was gorgeous! We loved spending time on the porch and around the fire pit admiring it. The dock access and paddle boards were so much fun for our teenagers, as well as the downstairs den room. Easy location to get around to all the different areas of interest, including waterfalls, vineyards, and marinas. The fact that we were able to bring our dog along was icing on the cake.

The property is beautiful, wonderful location, very family friendly and pet friendly. We had everything we needed inside the home to have a relaxing and enjoyable time. The only thing that wasn’t 5 stars was that some areas could have more attention paid during cleaning prior to check-in.

Great Lakeside Vacation Home

Nice, clean, well equipped lakeside vacation rental. We enjoyed the property and the ability to have our boat on the boat dock across the street from the house. Strongly recommend this VRBO.

Pretty spot. Long walk to dock itself and the lake was pretty dry. Hardly any water so we couldn't rent a boat. The house itself was large and spacious. Hard drive way to maneuver in and out. The entry was dirty to the front door. Cobwebs and dirt. The house itself was not clean. We cleaned every counter space. The carpets were so stained in every room. Down stairs, where the pool table is the garbage can was filled with beer cans garbage from the previous guests. They did not empty that before we came. It was a mess. The master bed sheets had holes in them. Gray ones. No iron or ironing board. We went out and bought an iron and towels. Towels were crunchy and hard. The garage was filthy. Just unorganized and dirty.The outside tables upstairs were filthy. We had to wipe everything down. I'm not sure if they have a cleaning company but they should hire a new one. The house was dated, furniture and decor were very dated and mix matched. It was not a comfortable stay. This is my honest review. It was birthday weekend and it was not up to.par.The owner is great at responding to emails and seemed very nice. They need to focus on cleaning the place thoroughly before having guests.For the price we paid, it was a big disappointment. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

Thank you for your honest review, and for the kind words about our communication — we take communication and responsiveness seriously and I hope we demonstrated that. I did text you the day of check in and I asked for you to please let me know if there were any issues whatsoever during your stay. We are sorry your birthday weekend didn't meet expectations. Two notes for future guests reading this: our listing clearly states the lake is too low for boats from September through April (kayaks and paddleboards are usable year-round), and our many photos accurately show the home's furnishings and decor. Most guests love our home, and they find our quilt theme to be comforting and reflective of the area. On the cleaning issues you raised — the trash left downstairs, the damaged sheets, the entryway — this is not the standard our 55 five-star reviews reflect. Had we known about any of these issues, we would have absolutely sent the cleaning crew back out. We have since gone through every item with our cleaning crew, removed the sheet set from rotation, and made sure an extra eye is double checking everything. We do have a steamer in the closet in lieu of an iron (as Disney does) and I will make sure to note it. We do ask guests to flag any issues on check-in day so we can make things right during the stay, and I genuinely wish we'd had the chance to fix these for you in the moment. Thank you again for the detailed feedback — it's made the home better for our next guests.

Christmas in Hayesville

A great family Christmas in North Carolina. The property was clean and a great location the home was spacious and they provided all the necessities to prepare a Christmas dinner. Look forward to a future stay at this location.

Serenity

Had a great time at the house, perfect for our visit from CA with local family. The house had everything we needed, it was cozy, yet big enough for all of us. Mornings and evenings were wonderful on the balcony and the pool table was perfect for times we had rain. I would definitely stay here again.

So much fun again!!

We stayed last year and it was so fun and relaxing we came back!! Feels so much like home! Love the area, short drives to all the “touristy” places, yet wonderfully peaceful with our coffee on the porch watching the bunnies 😊. This house is permanently tagged on my favorites 😁.

Beautiful home and great view

The checkin process was smooth and the home was immaculate. The nicest touch was having a Christmas tree in the living room. Great views, spacious, THE MOST COMFORTABLE BEDS, great kitchen, lots of room to spread out. We enjoyed the towns nearby and hope to be back.
