Pool was not clean leaves in pool .out side furniture had spider webs . Requested instruction in how to hook up pool cleaner , but never received

This house was exactly what we needed for our California trip. Everyone slept well in comfortable beds, the kitchen offered wonderful natural light & had all the tools we needed during our stay. We enjoyed the heated pool and the resort ambiance it provided. Communication with the host was fast and efficient. If ever we plan a trip back to the La Mesa/San Diego area, we would definitely like to rent this property again.
Relaxing & enjoying the view by the pool.

Great family vacation

The house and grounds are beautiful! This property has everything you need for a wonderful family vacation. I loved how well stocked (trash bags, laundry detergent, toilet paper, coffee, sugar, etc.) the house came. We also appreciated the instructions on how to operate everything. We all enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub after a long day at the zoo and Legoland.

Thanksgiving celebration

We hosted Thanksgiving for ten people and it was an easy and splendid gathering of family and friends. Our grandchildren thrilled at the constant availability of a warm pool, and the "supervising" adults enjoyed the comfort of the overlooking spa. Hosts were constantly available and the property was in pristine condition. Would recommend this to any size gathering for any length of stay, but it was dynamite for us for a whole week luxuriating in La Mesa.

Absolutely delightful in every way

Advance communications with the host was terrific from before I made the reservation until after we had left the property. I had several specific questions I needed answered even before committing, and they always replied quickly and fully. Check-in was a breeze.The house itself is a stunner. Not remotely gaudy or overdone in any way, but beautifully and thoughtfully furnished and decorated. There are very pleasant and comfortably furnished living room areas accompanying the bedrooms on both levels of the house. Besides simply the extra floor space, they serve nicely as separate gathering areas if guests don't necessarily want to spend every single minute together!The kitchen is large, well laid out, fully furnished, and spotless (as is everything else). Plenty of bathrooms, and on both floors. Fully furnished laundry room and plenty of storage space for any traveler.The terrace directly off of the main floor living area is outstanding for day and/or night use, depending on season. Chaise lounges, armchairs, a bistro table set, and a fire table for chilly nights.Unfortunately, we had a run of wet and windy spring days, and didn't get to use any of the lower level pool and spa delights. But it is a stunning layout, a real gem of SoCal living. I had so hoped we could at least take a dip, but Mother Nature had other ideas. I would love to come back another time when I could be certain to be able to make great use of that fantastic back yard. I highly recommend!

Read all descriptions and Rules before booking - luxurious 5 bed home fell short of expectations

The house is spacious, well-organized, and everything is clearly labeled. There were some issues that impacted our stay.The house is multi-level: the main living area, beds and baths upstairs, and the backyard, and pool on a lower level accessed only by outdoor stairs. The lack of a downstairs bathroom made it inconvenient; it was a challenge to manage children who needed to rush to the bathroom, requiring them to quickly dry them off and climb the stairs.The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which we appreciated. However, our experience was tainted when we received multiple calls at 10:45PM, informing us that the pool couldn’t be used past 9. Some of us were quietly floating in the pool, while others were enjoying a drink on the balcony, all while nearby neighbors were being much louder. It felt intrusive to be monitored by cameras, especially when we were being respectful and quiet. It would’ve been helpful to know about the pool curfew before booking, as the pool and hot tub were a primary reason for choosing the property. The links sent after booking that were supposed to contain “additional rules” didn’t work, and we couldn’t access the information.One of the "bedrooms" is actually an office, which isn't a suitable bedroom. I wish I had noticed this in the description prior to booking.Overall, the house has positives, but the misleading description, lack of a downstairs bathroom, and the abrupt calls to leave the pool made our stay less enjoyable.

This is an absolutely beautiful house with lots of room to spread out. We stayed here with three generations and everyone as very comfortable. The backyard is not only comfortable and beautifully landscaped but the pool cause my 11 and 6 year old grandchildren to ask their parents if they could move here. The kitchen is large and accommodated several cooks at once. We needed to contact the host while we were here and they were very responsive and worked with us kindly with our special request. I agree with the grandkids, I want to move here.
