Welcome to Gerber Lake Home! WE WILL NOT BOOK SUMMER 2025 UNTIL SUMMER 2024 AFTER GIVING PAST GUESTS PRIORITY. 7 night rentals, Friday to Friday, are required from Memorial Day through Labor Day. 2 night minimum stay the rest of the year. Escape the hustle and bustle of life to this large, lakefront home on Jimmerson Lake which is on the Lake James chain. This 6 bedroom, 4 bath 4600 square foot home has lots of space to relax and have fun. It has 2 separate living rooms each with its own tv. The upper level entertainment area includes a pool table, hoop shoot game, and a recently added dart board. The newly remodeled main floor & The beautiful new kitchen which overlooks the lake, has granite counter-tops and is fully furnished. All linens are provided except beach towels.

Enjoy our updated fire pit area and spacious patio with new furniture, 2 tables seating 4 people each with umbrellas, 1 larger table seating 8 people with an umbrella, mini bar with stools, gliders and a tree swing.

The sparkling, in-ground swimming pool with retractable cover is the perfect place to stay cool and have fun. Heated pool is open May 1 - mid October (*Weather Permitting*) The large patio has a year-round hot tub, tables and chairs to enjoy dining outside or pack some firewood to relax around the fire pit while roasting marshmallows in the evening. (firewood NOT provided)

This home is minutes away from shopping, restaurants, Pokagon State Park, movie theaters, winery, and many other area attractions. It is also close to the Public Boat Access to launch your boat. There are 2 Jet Ski Floating Docks for use. A state park pass is included and 3 kayaks and a jon row boat are available for your enjoyment. (there are a couple life vest but suggest to bring your own)

Great family home!

Fabulous home with everything you need! Plenty of beds for sleeping, huge dinning table, kitchen stocked with all you need, game room, hot tub, and plenty of places to sit and relax. The lake is beautiful and hot tub was much enjoyed with the chilly winter weather. Enjoyed the home and cannot wait for our next trip!

Thanksgiving Break

Our family came together for a stay in Fremont. Everything was as described and there was not a reason that I needed to bring our whole kitchen on our trip in order to have Thanksgiving dinner. The house had everything and more that you would need for a stay. We loved having a large beautiful table to gather around and the openness to allow us to be together. Our grandchildren loved the hot tub, watching the ducks and swans and even the fisherman’s boats! We would love to return in the future

Family Time

The property is perfect for a large group, with plenty of seating both inside and out. We especially enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and the dining table that comfortably worked for our group of ten adults. The scenery is pretty, and you will be sure to see many different kinds of birds.

30 year wedding anniversary weekend getaway

The pictures do not do this house justice! The updates to the kitchen space is spectacular! Our family had a wonderful family getaway to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary! The house is perfect for a big group, especially with all the thoughtful touches like the spacious fully stocked kitchen ( the best I have ever had), game / toy closet, game room, the State Park pass, hot tub and breathtaking views. We would definitely like to come back- maybe a little earlier in the season to enjoy the swimming pool!

2nd Time Visiting

Such a great location and beautiful view. We had beautiful weather this weekend which made it even more enjoyable. The kitchen was recently remodeled and great layout, love all the seating options both in and outside. We didn’t use the pool as much as hoped, the water was very cloudy and seemed to need a good cleaning. There were 2 towels available per bathroom (8 total bath towels) for a house that sleeps at least 14 people, so that was difficult as we hadn’t been told to bring more. Also, be careful enjoying the outside past 10pm. We had a bon fire and music at reasonable volume until about 10:15 - went inside and had the cops knock on the door for a noise complaint. Seems neighbors are not happy to be Nextdoor to a rental property as we were not overly loud or disrespectful, just enjoying 70 degree weather in October! We would return, beautiful place.

Fabulous House

This was a fantastic house for us, our adult children and their children. The pool and hot tub were loved by the children, everyone loved the kayaking, the pool table and upstairs hang out room was a great place for the kids to play. There were plenty of beds, the kitchen was fully stocked and had crockpots, griddles and everything to cook for a large group. Having a drink fridge is just genius. Plenty of empty pantries to hold all our food. The dining room table sat 12-14 people. It was the most comfortable furniture and beds that we have ever had in a rental. It’s a very nice house and high quality everything. Not a negative thing to say about the house.

Absolutely amazing vacation week!

The house and property were absolutely beautiful. We wanted a relaxing and low key vacation for our family to be able to hang out, fish, play games and just enjoy life, THIS WAS IT! The house has everything you need, clean, organized, comfy and the best of all the outdoor patio and pool were amazing! From dips in the pool and board games on the deck to fires and s’mores at night. We are blessed to have had the week we did there! The decor inside was also great, made us feel welcome and reminded us of the reason we don’t take things for granted!! My whole family loved it! Will definitely be back!!! Thank you!

Excellent vacation home

The house was excellent. Very clean, exceptionally spacious....3 separate areas inside to hang out and location was superb. We played darts and also used the pool table. The kitchen was great and all utensils and appliances were provided. The Pool was wonderful and there is beautiful seating for 20 plus guests and the hottub was great as well. The property manager was very helpful. The lakes were all fabulous. We rented a pontoon and it was awesome. We had a blast parking the pontoon at the Sand bar location on lake James and eating at the food boat. Jimmy and Yonna were very kind and Jimmy's wings were delectable. The mexican restaurant in town was good and the watershed restaurant was excellent. The bait shop was very helpful and navigating the chain of lakes was simple. We will definitely come back agsin. Side note: the handle on the beverage refrigerator needed to be fixed but we managed. Also, the electonic reclining couch had 1 seat that was stuck but we also navigated that issue easily. The showerhead in the master bedroom needs to be updated/fixed too. All minor issues.

Beautiful home

We had a wonderful low-key family vacation at your beautiful home. It had everything we needed for our group of 14 people varying in age from 10 to 79. The pool was a major asset for us as it was perfect weather to enjoy it. We rented a pontoon and brought a jet-ski and the dock was great for all of us to enjoy the nice lake. next year. The kitchen-dining area and the patio area were fabulous. We hope to return next year.

Siblings Weekend

Gathering of 5 siblings and their spouses and significant other. We enjoyed the beautiful remodel on the main floor. Loved the large spaces and multiple spaces for us to use.

AMAZING!!!!!

All I can say is AMAZING!!! Your BEAUTIFUL Lake House reached ALL of our EXPECTATIONS and MORE!!! From the Spacious kitchen equipped with EVERYTHING you could imagine including a beverage Fridge which was a hit, the swimming pool, hot tub and all the different seating areas outside was SO SO NICE with Beautiful views. A couple cooler evenings, a bonfire and s’mores was the perfect way to end a busy day out on the kayaking, water skiing and tubing. SO Many PRICELESS Memories made by all. Thank You for sharing your Beautiful Lake House with our Family and we are Already looking forward to coming back next year and making more.

Best vacation ever

We were so happy to get a week at your house. We loved the house with so many bedrooms. The pool and hot tub were incredible. The kids were never bored. The best was the fishing our 9 year old caught 13 large mouth bass. Everyone enjoyed the docks for fishing and sunbathing. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation!

Coming back again!

This is our repeat visit to this amazing house on Jimmerson Lake. We will be back next year. We thought the house was amazing after our first visit but were totally blown away when we saw that the main floor of this house had been TOTALLY renovated. One of our group is in the kitchen and bath remodeling business and only found one very minor inconsistency in the remodel. They added some very helpful conveniences in the kitchen, With 13 of us, a very large and perfectly located beverage frig was awesome! There was additional seating added outside around the pool and we couldn't have possibly thought of any other improvements we would have made.

Great 4th of July!

We have been to Lake James in the past and love that it is only 2-2 1/2 hours away. We were excited to stay at this home since it had a pool and we had littles we knew would love. The kids loved playing in the pool and then enjoyed the hot-tub after. The patio was nice and we used the fire pit for s'mores several evenings. The house has a nice lay-out and we enjoyed the big dining room table in the kitchen for our meals. The home has a lot of nice features and the extra fridge/freezer in the garage was definitely needed. We had a great time and would definitely rent again.

Great home!

We met our sons and their families at your home to celebrate our 50th anniversary! The house was clean and big enough for our clan! The heated pool was a hit with everyone and the hot tub was welcome at the end of the day! Grandson learned to kayak that weekend! Your home helped to make new memories! I would come back!

Pre summer getaway

The property and home were absolutely beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. Gorgeous lake views whether your inside or setting on the deck. Furnishings in the home were clean, very comfortable, and well stocked with anything youll need.

Great place. Loved the home everything was in like new condition. Would recommend to others

The property was great for us. Everyone had a bed and we still had some that were not even needed. The outside patio was beautiful and we sat for hours talking. This was a 50th class reunion with 10 women. It was a wonderful experience to connect with those we had been in school with and just to have a good time and laugh. We would definitley go back again.

Gorgeous Sunsets!

Our family came from 3 states to see our son graduate from Trine. The home was spacious, clean, and comfortable with everything needed for the weekend. We enjoyed use of the pool, hot tub, and kayaks on the lake. It was a perfect getaway! We would highly recommend this property.

Amazing Lake Houe

This is an amazing lake house. The host had everything you would need (information wise) in a convenient binder. The house is spacious, clean and very relaxing. No Tv in the bedrooms..no problem. It was great for our family gathering together talking and playing games. The sitting room overlooking the lake is so relaxing and looks like something you would see in movies. We loved it, and we're looking forward to bookingbthis house again.

Great family get together to view eclipse

Terrific property for multi generational family get together to be close to the eclipse. Lots of pleasant gathering spaces for conversation, toys for the little ones and a hang out space for the teens. Amazing outdoor space on the lake with tables aplenty, kayaks for the adventurous and a hot tub for those needing relaxation. Refreshing that the tvs were tucked out of the way and not the focal point of the main gathering space. Overall the house brought a feeling of peace. We would definitely stay again, especially in the summer to take advantage of the pool and lake.

Steve & Gayla Gerber, owners since 2017 has been renting, using and updating this property for the enjoyment of our guest.
We live in a small town south of Ft Wayne and dont get up to the property as much as we would like.

This lake home is located in the bottle neck between the two basins so boats need to slow down for a few minutes as its Idle zone in front of the property. So its nice to sit and see all the different boats idle through the pass from one basin to the next.

Our property is at a dead end so not much traffic. We did install artificial turf in 2021 during our outdoor living space expansion which helps for the turf not getting muddy or die-out when tubes or things left lying on the turf for some time.
