It’s a comfortable, family-friendly retreat for swimming, paddling, grilling, relaxing by the fire, and enjoying quiet mornings by the lake. Close enough for an easy getaway, but tucked away enough to feel like a true escape.

The house was perfect and our stay was so relaxing. We spent the daytime sunbathing on the dock, swimming in the lake and just enjoying every minute. My adult kids enjoyed the kayak and pedal-boat. In the evening, we had a great time playing some of the games which were available. I am highly recommending this as a vacation spot for anybody wanting a truly relaxing experience.

Nicole was welcoming and did all that she could to make our family Thanksgiving special. The home was cozy and relaxing. It was close to the activities we planned. We would definitely stay again

A lovely comfortable home in a tranquil setting. We enjoyed spending time on the dock and jumping in the water for a refeshing swim. It's a nice getaway.

Just right. We generally rent smaller houses and this one was just right. Comfortable. Enough for 4 people. Nice deck and dock, water options.

Exactly What I Needed

Check in was straightforward and easy. Nikki very generously offered dry goods and food from the pantry and fridge. The view was magnificent from the master bedroom and living room and her couch was so comfy that I actually slept on it one night. Walking the property and taking a dip in the water recharged my batteries for my upcoming final exams at University. It was quiet enough during my stay to admire the singing of various birds. I played music and did yoga from her TV while gazing at the water. The peace and serenity derived from doing so was cathartic. Without getting too personal in the details, I was able to meditate and spiritually heal from troubles in my past by simply admiring the view and her gorgeous landscape painting in the living room. I’m so blessed to have been Nikki’s guest and the value that I received from my trip at her property is immeasurable.

A beautiful location right on the pond. The house was lovely and the amenities were great — from the gas grill to the kayaks and canoe, and some brand new beach chairs. Nikki was super responsive and helpful with any questions. I highly recommend this great house up in the quiet corner of CT.

This was one of the most relaxing properties that we have ever been to. Five minutes on the dock at any time of day and you are immediately entranced by the peacefulness and the tranquility of your surroundings. The calm waters, the wildlife, it all puts you in a state of serenity. The house itself is easy to find and far away enough from civilization but not too far to be inconvenient. It is updated nicely with any and all amenities that one could want, including a few extras with a fully stocked spice cabinet, coffee bar and even a few things in the fridge. The house has plenty of towels and supplies for all of your needs. Outdoors were kayaks and a canoe that can easily be put on the water to leisurely navigate around the pond. Overall this is the relaxation we sought for after a long day of antique shopping at Brimfield.

I chose this lake neighborhood because it feels peaceful, natural, and away from it all while still being easy to get to. The best part is the quiet country setting: lake views, trees, birds, fresh air, and a relaxed pace. I love that guests can spend the day swimming, kayaking, sitting on the dock, gathering by the fire pit, or simply enjoying coffee by the water. It’s the kind of place that helps people slow down and reconnect.
