The Admiral House is a large home close to all that the Driftless region in Wisconsin has to offer. World class fishing, abundant hiking and biking nearby, boat landings and many other outdoor activities. La Crosse is nearby with its historic downtown and many festivals throughout the year. The house has a large yard with games for the kids and room for the dogs.
Outdoor area with grill and picnic table. Bring your boat, kayak or canoe and explore the river with its many backwaters. Full kitchen with all things necessary to prepare meals, if cooking isn't your thing many supper clubs and restaurants nearby. Clements Fishing Barge, a historic icon on the river, is a local fishing resort located within half mile. Situated within steps of Captain Hook's Bait and Tackle giving you access to ice, beer, pop and sporting goods.

Awesome place for a group!

We were in town for a UW-L alumni weekend. We have small children so this place was perfect - cost effective, spacious, and close enough to campus to make it to our events. The rooms were all comfortable and the location on the river is beautiful!

Wonderful time!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The home was beautiful, clean and nicely decorated. I would absolutely love to stay here again. Plenty of space for a large family gathering.

Thanksgiving family get together

The home worked out very well for our family get together. Plenty of space in kitchen and living for the group. Only hitch was we did not get the check-in instructions in advance due to email failure which delayed our entry.

Convenient and Comfortable Location

We needed a place to sleep 10 people near Stoddard and this house fit the bill perfectly. The property was exactly as it was listed and had great common areas for gathering as a group. Would recommend for anyone coming to the area with a large group.

Great space for extended family gathering

We had a group of 8 family members stay for a weekend getaway. The number of beds and bathrooms was perfect for our group and there was plenty of space for all to chat and play games when at the house. Host had everything ready for us and check in process was easy. Enjoyed our stay!!

Great spacious house in quaint area

We had a great stay. The fishing store next door was great as our son loves to fish. The house was clean and spacious. Lots of room to relax and enjoy nature.

500 club bowling tournament

Property and owner were just wonderful. Had 8 women all competing on La Crosse for tournament and had a wonderful time. Only suggestion might be to have some larger cookware since home can easily accommodate 12.

Home Sweet Home

From the moment you enter the property you feel like it's home. Updated throughout, you get the feeling like you're in Grandma's house. Clean and spacious, you can't wait for your vacation to begin. Kitchen is well laid out, big dinning room, and the living room has an electric fireplace with a Smart TV. Two bedrooms downstairs with full bathroom and 4 bedrooms upstairs with another full bathroom. All the beds are comfortable. Large driveway for parking multiple vehicles. Highly recomend, can't wait to go back.

The house is clean, charming, and well-equipped. Karen and Mark are so friendly and helpful! We had a great stay exploring the Genoa and La Crossee area. Would definitely recommend it to our friends and fellow travelers alike!

Motorcycle ride

Overall a great location for us it was clean a bit dated but it served our needs using garage for the bikes was nice to keep them out of the weather it met our expectations !

Communication

I had to reach out to get the check in code before we arrived. We were unable to use the kitchen refrigerator because meat or something had spoiled in it...we taped the door shut so we didnt open it in error because the smell was nauseating. There was a second frig in the breezeway but with food and drinks for 8 we spent alot on ice. I made the owner aware when we checked in and she said she smelled something and thought it was the garbage disposal, but never came to check it out..I contacted her about missing listed supplies, which were delivered while we were out purchasing them because she didnt acknowledge receiving my email. I expected an email apology after we checked out and maybe a reimbursement offer for our ice, but I have heard nothing.
