Three generation stay at Bear Pause!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin is set up perfectly for an extended family vacation. It is three floors of living space, perfect to spread out. My husband and I enjoyed this cabin together with our three young children as well as my parents. There was plenty of space with four full bedrooms. My kids LOVED the gaming consoles and the family enjoyed watching movies in the theater room. The place was clean and the view is beautiful. We had a couple of small maintenance issues but the maintenance team was very quick to respond and resolve. If there was one complaint it is that the water pressure is very weak. It took us 3-4 hours to run a load of laundry due to the very slow water fill. This was a relatively small inconvenience to an overall amazing trip! Would recommend and also stay again!

Loved the cabin itself and the location was great. The only downfall about the cabin we have is The A/C unit on main living area was horrible it would not stay cooled off. It got up to 88 during the day {normally around 12 it would start going up} then by around 7pm it would slowly start cooling off again had to get maintenance people out there twice to check it. But they were very nice and understood the situation. But other than that we had a awesome time staying there.

We’re so glad you loved the cabin and its location and had an awesome time despite the A/C issues! We understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with the heat during your stay. Unfortunately, the HVAC system experienced two separate component failures. Our maintenance team repaired the initial issue during their first visit, but the second failure didn't become apparent until afterward, requiring another trip. Thankfully, they were able to get everything fully repaired during that second visit. We appreciate your patience and your kind words about our maintenance team. We hope to welcome you back for another Smoky Mountain getaway with a much cooler experience next time!

In all was a great trip and perfect setting in this cabin, it was just beautiful inside and the view outside.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful long weekend at this cabin. It was spacious for my family of four plus my sister. We have family local to area and they were able to visit. The hot tub was nice and cozy on a very cold weekend. We enjoyed the fireplace and had a terrific game night. The kids enjoyed the video games and the adults the pool table. Kitchen is well appointed. Beds are comfortable and having a bathroom for each bedroom was a real plus!

The cabin was nice and comfy. We did have a couple issues, and those that could be addressed, were addressed quickly. However some of the other things were just more of a nuisance. We needed batteries for some of the TV remotes and the upstairs AC wasnt cooling properly, these issues were quickly handled by the maintenence staff. However when we arrived at check in time, 4pm, we had to wait over an hour for the cleaners to finish cleaning the bottom 2 floors. The lighting in the cabin isn't ideal as it's poorly placed and obscured when standing in the kitchen trying to cook.or use the counters. Also, the light over the dining table is extremely bright. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Cabin was great, lots of room for all guest. The view was amazing from all 3 decks. Great location, not far from everything but yet far enough to feel secluded and peaceful. There are 2 minor complaints about the cabin, the first being the grill and hot tub are located on the lowest level deck. This makes it hard for someone with a physical disability to enjoy because they have to climb 3 flights of stairs. And the kitchen and everything is on the main floor, so it would make more since to me that the grill be on that level, along with the hot tub in my opinion. So other than those 2 things, everything was fantastic, and would definitely stay again and recommend.

Unsafe Conditions, Poor AC, and Unresponsive Management – Disappointed StayDon't stay anywhere associated with Bear Tract Rentals Check their yelp reviews.Issues started July 14 when I reported the upstairs was over 80F.July 15, a tech was sent. He said parts were needed for AC repair and no immediate fix was provided.July 16, a portable AC unit was placed in a bedroom—not the main living area. I voiced concerns no reply.July 17, my special needs daughter slipped on water from the portable unit, which was installed without connecting the drainage hose. I began calling at 7:37 AM and asked for escalation. Despite multiple assurances, no one called until noon, and even then it was only to say a manager would call later. That never happened.July 18, the manager finally called but seemed unaware or unconcerned about the safety hazard. She promised follow-up, but we were also locked out of the cabin that evening using the same entry code we were given at check-in.This property is aesthetically nice, but our experience was frustrating, unsafe, and mismanaged. A 200 refund doesn’t begin to compensate for the heat, hazard, and lack of response we dealt with. The owner has the audacity to say we unplugged the unit and created unsafe conditions. And that we were entering the correct door code. After staying in the unit 5 days with no problems with the door we started getting it wrong. They are pathetic

Nice place and great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice place; beautiful cabin; great location and easy access to most everything. Our only downsides were that the jets on one of the jacuzzi tubs was not working (management tried to fix, but it looks like it was going to take more extensive repairs). We also had a really hard rain one day and two of the windows started to leak on the first floor. Nothing major, but I could see that causing damage for the property owners over time if someone was not there to sop up the water. Also, it would be great to have shades in the theater room (hard to watch in the daytime, but great at night). Bear Tracts management and maintenance were great to work with, explorie customer service was easy to call and sent free tickets to events in minutes. Overall we had a great time, and hope to do it again in the future.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were no hangers to hang clothes in closets, it would help to inform guests.I would suggest the owner invest in luggage racks for the bedrooms, there is no place to put your suitcase. The bed is the logical place to put it to unpack and pack, this doesn’t do any good for the wear and tear or cleanest of the bedspread. The chandeliers in the family room are very bright and would be much nicer with a dimmer switch. Overall the facility was very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed and appreciate our stay with you. Thank you very much

February 2024 Stay

Very disappointed. My birthday getaway ruined by this experience. Upon arriving at the u it, we walked in and was utterly amazed that the unit hadn’t been cleaned. I have photos showing a dirty kitchen table, dirty hot tub, excessive bugs in the downstairs window seal. Mold in the toilets and showers. After multiple calls and emails housekeepers arrived around 5:30 and advised they were there to do a spot cleaning and not clean the unit to make it livable. They acknowledged that the day before our arrival they did not clean the unit…instead they just checked the jacuzzi. I spoke with one manager who attempted to make it appear to be our fault that the unit wasn’t cleaned. I advised her me and my family would not be staying in the unit because it was not cleaned and at 6 o’clock I had spent my entire day trying to get the situation resolved. I am extra disappointed no one from management have followed up with me and I keep getting generic emails from customer service. I am filing formal complaint.
