Property was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed! Jay and Pam were wonderful, friendly hosts! The fresh rhubarb cake was amazing and just one more homey little touch that you don't get at just any vacation rental! The location is perfect for easy access to whatever you may be wanting to do, be it hiking, going out on the town, or simply sitting out on the covered porch to relax! Definitely would recommend to anyone! Can't wait to stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at the bunkhouse. Fresh homemade delicious rhubarb coffee cake was waiting for us when we arrived. Everything is as described - we love having a living room. Loved sitting on the porch looking at the hills, and this was in a nice quiet neighborhood. The hosts were great and we enjoyed chatting with them and appreciated some suggestions for touring that Jay made - and they were perfect! We will definitely be back!!

Just a wonderful rental for the Deadwood area. Very central for northern and southern Black Hills area. The trolley for Deadwood is just steps from the rental. We had a personal issue and the owners were quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again.

Such a great spot. Trolley stop was so close. Quiet area. The hosts were very friendly (we were greeted with homemade rhubarb cake!). Highly recommend this house. You will love the Black Hills.

very clean! loved the location of not being on gravel with our sports car and the ending point of all our sight seeing. Pam communicated great with us. even letting us know main st would be blocked off for a parade for a couple hours. I already had a friend contact me about the property when posting a pic on FB.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was very clean, comfortable, and full of character. We especially loved the delicious rhubarb cake the host left for us—it was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch.Learning the history of the space and discovering that it was once the family’s gun shop was a nice historical bonus. It added a unique charm to our stay and made the experience even more memorable.We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Burlington Bunkhouse in mid-May 2026. Entire property was very clean and as was described in the listing. Furniture and bed were comfortable and my wife and I had relaxing time in the home when not out on nearby adventures. Location was excellent and we quickly found our way around town and back. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Jay and Pam were terrific hosts, quick to respond to messages and provided excellent suggestions for restaurants, etc. I would highly recommend a booking a stay at this property to anyone planning to be in area.

Cozy Bunkhouse Close to Downtown

Loved our stay in this cozy bunkhouse near downtown Deadwood. Great location, comfy accommodations, beautiful surroundings. Would highly recommend.
