Great place. Excellent kitchen, views, and bedrooms. Canoeing in the lake was lovely, but it wasn’t a great place to swim

This home had the most accurate description of any home we have rented! Everything was exactly as described, and it was all wonderful.Overlook still had a new home smell when we walked in. The entire home was meticulously clean and well maintained. There wasn't a single item that didn't work. Many times we have found that ceiling fans, and their remotes, will not work correctly but that wasn't the case here. There were three couples staying here and we all had the same impression of the rental, thoroughly impressed.Excellent lake and mountain views from every rear window and all three levels of the deck. The sofa swings were a great spot to relax and watch the sunrise. The pool table, air hockey, and two video game machines were all in great condition. There is a steep walkway down to the lake which is well worth the effort. There is just too many perks to go over with this place! Kayaks, canoe, two fire pits, outdoor fireplace and seating, large well stocked kitchen, new laundry area, beautiful master bedroom and bath,...Owner was very easily reached and super helpful with local info. We are already planning a return visit.

Best Vacation I've Ever Had

We loved this property so much that we actually messaged the owners and asked if we could stay another day (thankfully, it wasn't booked and they were happy to accommodate). I've never done that on a vacation. That is how much we loved this place. The view and location is just as great, if not better, than the listing photos. The house itself is well designed. The three porches provided endless fun. Between going down to the lake, playing pool or cornhole, and the hot tub my kids were constantly entertained. At night we enjoyed watching a movie out on the porch. We honestly did not want to leave the house, it was just so relaxing and peaceful. The house was also very clean and well organized. We've stayed in quite a few rental properties and most of them are designed for renters (cheap furniture, etc). This place seems like it was designed with no expense spared. Everything from the dishes, furniture, and blankets felt like what you would buy for your own home. They also provide a lot of consumable items such as tide pods, dish soap, k-cups, etc. Many places I have stayed make you bring your own or they give you like 1 tide pod. It just truly felt like the owners wanted us to enjoy the stay. The steps down to the lake are quite steep. We knew this but keep it in mind if you have young kids. Its worth the trek though, as the view is incredible and this house has the best view on the lake!
