Thank you, Laura, for staying at our home and for your kind comments. We’re always happy to stay in touch with our guests and make sure they have what they need during their stay. Freshly laundered linens were provided on all beds, and each room is stocked with two large towels, a hand towel, and two washcloths. We also provide additional towels and sheets in a storage bin under each bed. We’re always happy to let guests know where those are if additional linens are needed. We normally provide two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom. If additional supplies are needed during a stay, we are happy to drop them off or arrange same-day delivery. We also checked with our cleaning team regarding the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They confirmed that the containers were at least half full before arrival. Going forward, I’ll personally double-check these items as an additional step to ensure everything is exactly as expected before each guest arrives. We appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to make the experience at Little Garden House even better. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again!

We didn't have any communication from you during the stay. What's the "black stuff"?

We work hard to provide a clean, comfortable home and are continuously making improvements and are sorry you had any issues. As noted in our listing, this is an older home with character, and we work hard to maintain it while updating it over time. Regarding the AC, your first messages were sent around 10:30 p.m. while our family was asleep. We responded approximately three hours later after waking up with our infant and followed up again about two hours later asking if you were still experiencing any issues. We did not receive a response. We immediately contacted our HVAC company, who inspected the system and confirmed it was operating properly. They explained that during periods of extreme summer heat, residential air conditioning systems typically cool a home approximately 15–20°F below the outdoor temperature. Even so, we let you know multiple times that if you were uncomfortable, you were welcome to end your stay early and we would refund your stay if you left. You chose to remain in the home for the duration of your reservation. It was only after checkout that you requested a refund through Vrbo. We were also surprised by the comments regarding insects. We have never received previous reports of roaches at this property. While an occasional insect can enter if exterior doors are left open during the summer, we did have our pest control company come by in case they didn't find anything in the house but sprayed nonetheless.
