Felt like home the second we walked in. With the pool gym and beach access, gift shop on site, restaurant on site, we didn’t leave the resort until it was time to go home.

This place is wonderfully located, and the view is beautiful. Comfortable beds, great living room setting, and a big dining table. Access to the beach is right in front of the building. The only thing I would wish is that it had a set of beach towels available for guests.

refrigerator would not make ice and water dispenser wouldn't work and patio swing doors would not close and lock, this may seem minor but they weren't mentioned. For the rental cost, these appliances would have been nice.

Fourth of July

Rented the property for our family’s Fourth of July weekend. The property was just as pictured, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials for cooking and cleaning. The property complex was clean and very well maintained throughout. Would absolutely rent again!

The place was amazing. It had more than was listed. Mostly kitchen stuff: coffee filters, basic condiments, aluminum foil, etc.

great location

game room was only available by daily reservation , pool code changed and was not sent via text or emailed , no restaurant on property, however the beach and condo sufficient and will revisit again next year.

Great unit and location

The property and unit were perfect for a family vacation. Unit was fully stocked with everything needed. Only complaint was poor communication with the property manager although they were very responsive

Another wonderful stay at pointe west

We love pointe west. The beaches are clean and wide and not crowded. The condo was very nice. Elevator was broken but I understand they are replacing them all shortly. The beach club pool is very nice. Thanks for another great week!

Beach blast

That location. The reserved parking had a construction site occupying the entire parking lot. Elevator was broken. The Beach club was open and busy, had a fun time there. My favorite part of the whole trip was spending time with my daughter on the beach! The beach is beautiful!!!

Peaceful Family Gateway

We love this property because it is off the beaten track. It is located on the far West Beach of Galveston so no traffic and the beach is relatively clear of people. This property has access to a large pool which we love getting in after being in the salty Gulf water to refresh. This property also has elevators and is very close to all the amenities. My husband and I both have knee and ankle issues so this is a must for us! Although the condos elevator was not working during our stay, we hope it will be fixed for our next visit.

Given what we paid, the rating is more than fair (2.5 would be better). Check in was difficult and stressful. I received emails that led me to believe I needed to go to the Point West office to check in. They had never heard of me. I got there 10 minutes before check in. During those 10 minutes I called the numbers sent to me in the emails and no-one picked up. Finally, a minute before 4pm, the owner called asking if I was ready to check in. In the end, it was simple, but the stress could have been avoided. The elevator was out during the entire stay. If my mother-in-law had joined us, which would have been the original plan, the stay would have been a disaster. The condo is advertised as having room for six adults, but we only had four towel sets. In the end we only had three of us, so that worked out fine. Claire was responsive for the most part, and she did not have control of the elevator not working, or the low water pressure, the guest shower not working, or the wifi not working during our last morning. Pre-stay communication was difficult. I never found out if the condo had a pancake grill. That question was never answered as far as I know. I am not sure if we will stay at Point West again. I knew it ahead of time, but Point West does nickle and dime folks. The restaurant and bar were not open even though the desk told me two week before July 1st that they would be open.

Pointe West pleasantly surprised

My Husbands and I have not been to Galveston since our children were little and we were pleasantly surprised at how clean the beach and the water has become. We had been traveling from East Texas to Florida every summer, but this made for such an easy and convenient trip to the gulf. The condo was in a great location down a ways on the Western beach side away from traffic and crowds. Our condo was directly next to the West Point Beach Club with a fantastic pool and easy access to the beach. My husband and I have health issues and this location was very easy for us! The condo we stayed in had an elevator as did the beach club. Parking is reserved right under your condo so only a few feet from the elevator. The beach club has a restaurant and pool side service which was excellent! The beach was clean and the water was clear. The condo itself was very spacious and in well order. We will defiantly be renting this again for quick trips to the coast!

July 4th weekend

We really enjoyed this condo. It was clean, very comfortable and in a great location. The designated parking spot for this condo is also in a great spot! We appreciate the fact that we were able to bring our dogs. Thank you for sharing your condo with us. We hope to be back one day.

Weekend Getaway

Property was the perfect location. It’s mostly updated indoors and has everything you need. The rooms are away from each other so it’s quiet. Pointe West amenities are incredible.
