House was the perfect location for our family's summer vacation. Very clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. The self check in and check out process was easy. My teenagers enjoyed the air hockey table and foosball. We loved hanging out on the deck grilling and the lake view after a day of paddle boarding, fishing and kayaking. The lake was the perfect size to explore and we made great use of the dock. We heard the summer camp singing and noise but it wasn't too loud or distracting. I think it's great that we all can enjoy the outdoors and share the good times at the lake. Overall it was an wonderful time and our family loved it.

What a great place! Access was simple, and the place was as good, if not better, than advertised. Very comfortable and well equipped. We’ll stay here again when in the area!

Great for families

House was so clean, spacious, and had everything you might need if you have kids - the lake was wonderful and we wish we could have stayed longer!

Very nice getaway for family get together.

Great location, Gig Harbor and Port Orchard not to far away. Fun activities in and out of the house. Would rent again if available during our stay in Washington.

Lake life...

We absolutely loved staying on the lake in this home! It was very comfortable and family-friendly. There were ducks and fish that the kids could feed from the dock so bring bread! We loved the house and were sad that we didn't get to spend more time there but truly appreciated the time that we did have.

Maria is the best host ever! She responded to every text immediately and was eager to do whatever was necessary to be sure our stay was enjoyable. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights, and I was very pleased to find that the kitchen was well stocked with every appliance and utensils I could possibly need. The view of the lake is lovely. The home includes a large entertainment room downstairs making the home ideal for a large family. Several outdoor games, kayaks, disc golf, and fishing rods & equipment are provided for children. I’m happy to give this property my full recommendation.

What a wonderful family get away for Christmas. 6 of us from all over converged on this lovely better than expected home. When you have active children and a grandma who want peaceful time the home was just perfect because there were many separate areas to spread out an enjoy varied activities. The owner were so accommodating. It felt like we were at a friend home because it was so well appointed. Soaps, lotions, shampoo, conditioner in every bathroom. More towels than we ever needed, wonderful throw blankets for the movie theater, ice hockey, foosball, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, I can go on… kayaks. Games galore, oh and puzzles. We could not do it all. We are all more than grateful and thankful that we found this home. Book it you will love it!!

Disappointed

Nice views, nice beach. Those were the positives. On the other hand, there is no way that 9 adults can sleep in this house. The 2 queen air mattresses were skimpy and leaked. We were ok with air mattresses but expected platform mattresses. Some of us had to sleep on couches. The beds were uncomfortable. The blaring music from the camp across the lake made it anything but peaceful. This home may have been good for families with small kids, but not nine adults. I won’t be renting again.

We would have appreciated the opportunity to address any of your concerns had you expressed them when we had reached out to you. We’ve successfully hosted larger groups and families in the past. We also had disclosed the sleeping arrangements and air mattresses prior to your reservation to ensure clarity. Regarding the camp on the other side of the lake, we're sorry that their activities may have been too noisy to your liking. The camp is a faith-based organization dedicated to offering the community a chance to enjoy nature and lake life, which can sometimes lead to increased noise levels from music, chatter, laughter, etc.

Family Weekend + a few extra teenage boys

My husband and I reserved this property for a little weekend getaway to celebrate our son’s 18th birthday! We arrived at night and took a walk down to the lake to take in the amazingly calm and peaceful view of the water and stars … highly recommend!! Our son and his three friends found many activities to keep them busy and entertained, including taking the kayaks out onto the lake, playing yard games, having an air hockey tournament, and watching a movie with popcorn in the great movie room! Our 4-year old daughter found plenty of books and toys to help keep her occupied as well as a perfectly sized life vest to make her paddle board trip out onto the lake with my cousin a memorable success! We grilled burgers out on the deck for a fun dinner and found all the tools we needed in the well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed easy, hassle free access to the house and ample towels and such provided! The host was amazing about contact and communication and was even willing to go out of their way to coordinate the return of a forgotten wallet … that only ended up being at the bottom of a teenage boy’s bag with him at home after all. We had a very memorable weekend with our family and son’s friends! Thank you for the hospitality and access to your lake home!!

We had a great time staying at Horseshoe lake with kids and grandparents. Really enjoyed the games room, home theater and kayaks/paddleboards, and especially the fishing supplies! The only mildly unfortunate thing was that the lake is quite shallow at the house with a silty bottom. Otherwise an excellent stay despite cool weather.
