Walnut Cottage-Grants Grove Sequoia

A little piece of paradise, on top of a mountain, just below the snow line but perched above anything else. Enjoy quiet nights in the hotub under the stars, a bonfire, bbq with friends, family, and pets with a fully stocked kitchen. Snack on fresh walnuts growing all around, and pick some fresh bay leaves or rosemary to use for dinner. Let the dogs run wild or indoor and games provided. Seqoia National Park is 30 min away and Lake Hume is about an hour way. Have fun!
The space
Up to 6 people using queen bed, queen air mattress, and queen pullout couch and fully stocked kitchen with all cook ware and includes snacks, sugar, spices, coffee, and tea.
Guest access
Feel free to roam 16 acres of land. Green house is under construction and off limits as well as house at the top of the hill.
Other things to note
This is a rural area with minimal cell reception there is wifi but if the power goes out you will have minimal signal depending on your carrier

REALLY comfortable and relaxing place! Very well stocked with necessities, and extras! Also, you will feel like the whole mountainside is all yours here! Sitting in the hot tub, under the stars…wow! Also, wonderful communication with the host:)

Place was a great get away! Close enough to the parks to make it easy to explore the area. Wildlife very active around the area making interesting to see daily. Host was great !

Calm and quiet retreat off the beaten path. Really liked the spot and the hottub and laundry were great perks. Tons of things to keep the kids occupied and the wifi was fast if needed. Nice and close to the national parks as well.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here! We had trouble with the initial code to enter the door and host was very responsive. We loved how quiet and peaceful the property was. We enjoyed the hot tub after some long hikes. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and pantry staples. Would definitely recommend!

Easy access to Kings Canyon and Sequoia

Stayed here 2 night with our family of 5 on a trip to the parks. Very comfy base camp for our days.

My husband, dog and I loved our stay here! It was so peaceful and out in the middle of the wild, while still being close to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. We enjoyed the hot-tub, watching the sunset, and the good wifi connection to be able to watch college football. We would stay here again if we were back in the area.

The cabin itself is much larger than the pictures give it credit for. Nice secluded location. A little further from the parks than I anticipated but it gave us a nice scenic drive.

The hot tub was not not usable for the duration of our stay as it was only 72F on arrival and didn't heat to a usable temp until the day of our departure. Disappointing since it was a highlight for our work trip. Would have been a nice pain/stress relief for the physical labor we were performing. But the place is nicely appointed with good kitchen and general space.

Cute little place with amazing views! Driving around Badger is quite the adventure on all of the winding roads, but it’s totally worth it. We loved the comfy beds, hot tub, and large selection of games and activities.

Great Views and Near Sequioa and Kings Canyon

Very cute house that has great views. The hot tub and fire pit were great ways to spend the evening after a day at the national parks. A great mountain experience.

Amazing property and views. Having a dip in the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking was the cherry on top. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Will 100% be coming back!

Awesome vacation

We really enjoyed staying here! It was well stocked and pretty scenic drive to sequoia and not to far at all! Between the hot tub and outdoor seating fire pit and bbq we love being outdoors and appreciated these amenities!

Anniversary stay

Perfect spot to stay after calling for a week! We enjoyed all the location had to offer. There were prescribed burns in the area but still a beautiful property

Fantastic Harrier Hawks

Loved the bird watching. Place is as advertised (remote). About 30 minutes on windy roads to Kings Canyon visitor center. Only requests would be more hand towels and stuff like ziplocks and Saran Wrap for packing food. Our stay was great.

Absolutely Perfect!

This property was the best VRBO we’ve rented! The views, the amenities, the gracious host—all top notch. The road construction added some time and effort to get to parks, but even with that, we’d choose to stay here again in a heartbeat.
