Your basic VRBO, come prepared.
There were 6 of us in our group. The sleeping availability in the description was advertised as sleeps 9. The three bedrooms provided enough beds for 6. I anticipated using the couch for one in our group to pull out and sleep on. The couch is not a pull out bed. When I called the host, he told me that a person could just sleep on the couch or use the air mattress in a closet. Fortunately I brought my own air mattress for my group to use. The kitchen was under stocked when it came to the dinner ware. The dinner setting was for (4) persons. The number of cooking pots and pans was sufficient for a party of 4, but made it difficult to cook for 4 adults and 2 seventeen year olds. There were also no serving bowls or dishes for our meals. I also found additional clean dishes, silverware, and glasses in the dishwasher.The backyard was nice. We didn’t use the pool. I could see the propane grill hadn’t been cleaned for awhile, and the propane tank was empty. When I called the host he told me there would be another tank in the garage and I could use it for an additional 55 fee. He then told me if there is one in the garage, I was welcome to use free of charge. I found the 2nd tank, it was also empty. So, I bought briquettes & fuel and used the kettle BBQ.Overall, the residence was clean & tidy. I felt safe and didn’t have any worries about parking my vehicle in the driveway overnight. It was very close to the location where we spent 4 days in Bakersfield.
