Beautiful home with a huge kitchen!

Was an easy check in, check out process, and communication was good with the owner. A beautiful, spacious house thats not too far from Victoria. Was a great experience for my family.

The apartment was beautifully designed with lots of space. The location was very good. It's just a shame that there was old coffee in the machine when we arrived

Family Christmas

This is a beautiful house and very comfortable. We had a wonderful holiday time with family. Lovely big kitchen!

Family getaway

We had a truly lovely time. There were some strange things about the property including an open bottle of wine, no true garbage bin/bags, no soap in one washroom and a family living in the basement suite that were able to be clearly heard through the stairwell. The kitchen clothes also didn't seem clean as they had a mildew smell to them. All in all it was a spacious vacation rental by the forest, with a couple of quirks that needed to be navigated.

Double Dipping

This property listing is not accurate and does not adhere to VRBO’s own requirements. This is a single family dwelling with a family living in the basement. The family is unaware that the rest of the home is a VRBO rental. Scared us to death when they came home at night and turned on the TV. You could also hear conversations and smell their cooking. It was disconcerting to not be alone in this home. Shame on VRBO and the owner of said home taking advantage of renters and VRBO patrons. Not to mention only one path of egress for the renters and VRBO patrons which is likely a code violation.

Lovely spot on the forest but...

We were really impressed by the location of this property - the balcony overlooks a beautiful forested area with walking trails. It's not far from Victoria, Sooke and other spots we wanted to visit, so that was nice. However, it needs work - the cleaning staff need to be shown how to remove water marks and toothpaste spit from the fixtures; I found a key under my bed, so obviously it hadn't been vacuumed properly; we had to do dishes after every meal because there weren't enough; there were no hand-towels, just bath-towels... I think a little investment would make this property shine! Oh, and we weren't notified in advance that there's another unit downstairs - we had a crying baby entertaining us in the evenings. :( I wonder if the people in the basement would have been happy to know that we could have gone down there any time we wanted (of course, we didn't but the door to the basement didn't lock both ways...). Things to think about.
