House was clean and warm and cozy, we had a great stay, a bit challenging at times with one bathroom, but we made it work. Great location and we loved the house's charm.

A small 3 bedroom 2 story house with one bath upstairs, we'll equipped kitchen. Nice neighborhood, lots of deer and turkeys in area.

Excellent place to stay. So glad we were in Southwest Harbor. Bar Harbor was so crowded and busy. House was clean and fully stocked. Easy access to everything

Joe’s house is very comfortable, homey, and well stocked. We loved the quiet location and ease to explore different places. A consideration is that the stairs are a little steep. Overall the house is great.

Great space and location on the quiet side of Mt Desert Island. Communicative host who is actually local! Well maintained, decorated, and stocked older home with a lot of character. We were here with a family of 6 and had more than enough room. Enjoyed cooking, playing games, and the short drive to the Sea Wall, Southwest Harbor, Bass Harbor, and of course Acadia. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Acadia.

The cottage was very charming and met our family’s needs. Hosts communicated well. We had everything we needed at the property. The location turned out to be great even though it is several miles from Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor is still easy to get to, yet you save on lodging and avoid the constant crowds. Southwest Harbor is just around the corner from the property and has good dining options and a good grocery store. Some great hikes are also easily accessible from very near the property.

Great place to stay and enjoy all the island has to offer. Nice quiet small town with everything you want to enjoy. Short ride to all of the major features of Acadia.

There were things that were great and other stuff I wasn't the most thrilled with. For the price I paid vs hotels or other houses it's hard to give it less than 5 stars. Hence the rating.

Quiet, comfortable and lovely!

This is a great cottage in a great location. We loved spending our days kayaking and hiking, with peaceful breaks on the enclosed porch, plus cooking in the well stocked kitchen absolutely would stay again!
