This camp was fantastic! The hosts have covered every detail you could think of for a welcoming stay. They were incredibly responsive, and we could not have been happier. The screened porch is huge, and perfect for morning coffee and sunsets. There is a canoe, kayaks, and a paddle board for exploring the water, and there is plenty of space outside to relax. Our stay included some of the hottest days of the summer, and the AC kept everyone comfortable. We would recommend this cabin in a heartbeat, and would happily stay again!

Lakeside Camp

We had a great time relaxing at the fishing camp on Holbrook Pond. It is full of charm and character. There is a ton to explore in the surrounding area as well

This Camp was more wonderful than I had expected. The cabin was stocked with beautiful bath towels, clean comfortable sheets on the bed, full kitchen supplies and cleaning products, snuggly blankets to wrap around, air conditioning and heating, great working fans hung from a high ceiling, several places to sit and lounge inside and out on the screened-in porch. The sounds and sights of the loons on Holbrook Pond was a relaxing treat, not to mention the many birds and darling little red squirrels that visited the feeders steps away from the porch. It was a lovely place to connect with nature. The water was clear, but the pond floor a bit mucky; however, wearing swim shoes will remove any unpleasant wading experience. There is an assortment of lake equipment to access. But ask the host to make sure it is laid out for access. He had the canoe tied to the pier and ready to use, which we happily did! The porch faces West, so the sunsets were something to behold. We did have a bit of trouble getting into the cabin when we first arrived, but the host who lives not far from the Camp, assisted us with maneuvering the lock box. Not far down the road from the Camp is access to food, groceries supplies, and gas. It is a perfect location for a perfect vacation!

Had an amazing experience at this camp and immediately booked another week. It is everything the listing claims it to be and much more. 10 out of 10. I can't say enough good about the camp or the hosts. Also, top level bass fishing. Neil from CT.

Great stay on the lake!

Wonderful little camp with setup of all you'll need inside and out. Kitchen well furnished, comfy living room with smart TV, oodles of equipment for the lake (paddleboard, canoe, kayaks, fire pits and more) and thoughtful hospitality by the hosts. This camp is the perfect blend of old school and new school--charm and tech. It was just two of us and the size was perfect. Bonus that dogs are welcome! Great VRBO rental that we'd love to stay at again.

Perfect Place

Perfect location. Bangor was a short drive to the west and Bar Harbor and Acadia national Park were about an hour to the south east. Our kids and pup loved the lake. We enjoyed the canoes and paddle board that were available for use. Great fishing and wildlife right on the lake. The cabin is great and has everything you would need. Very cozy and well kept. The hosts were very responsive answering all of our questions. Highly recommend. We already want to go back.

Jeffrey and his family were excellent guests!! They were very communicative and clean. Tidied up everything before they left, did not even know they had been there by the way they left the cabin! We would love for them to stay again!!

The camp was a peaceful retreat! Very comfortable accommodations, it had all you needed for a stay with many thoughtful touches! Very clean with nice linens and towels. We enjoyed utilizing the canoe, kayaks, and stand up paddle board that were available to use and watching sunsets from the screened in porch. Hosts responds quickly to questions and overall we had a wonderful stay! Pet friendly too!

Holbrook Pond is so quiet there’s no public access so there are very few boats on the lake.

It’s so close to Town that it is a well kept secret! Holden is a very nice community!

Our camp is less than 7 feet from the water. Our dock goes from the back door onto the water. We have a great big sun porch to enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the . We also have a heat pump which provides heat and AC for comfort.
