Great Tiny Home

Stayed here for one evening while touring wineries in the region. Fantastic location, great communication from hosts, and a delightful property. Would recommend!

Tranquil forest getaway!

Cute tiny house on an absolutely lovely, serene forested hillside. Really close to town, all things considered - about 20 minutes from the hospital where I was working for the month! The one downside that is only an issue with more extended stays like mine - the compost toilet did get a tad smelly as the weeks went by. Not to an unbearable degree but just a small caveat to the five stars!

Peaceful cozy retreat

We had a wonderful stay! The tiny house is new, clean, and more spacious than you might expect! You feel totally removed from town but in reality aren't that far to go grab some wine or groceries. Sure, there isn't a stove or microwave but you can do a lot with a toaster oven and a hot plate! Make sure to check out Lighthouse Bakery- so delicious. Our favorite part was cuddling up in the reclining couch and sipping wine and reading, listening to the wildlife. We hope to return soon!

Not what was advertised

Advertised as 'on the lake' but there was no lake in sight. The compost toilet was disgusting and should be listed in advertising. We definitely would not have booked had we known the toilet was 'waterless'. Also, I think we showered in 'gray-water' and that was not good. However, the tiny home was very cute and fairly clean and the owner was nice and responded quickly. But, we were not thrilled that we could see them on their property just above us.

Hello Sherry, You are correct there is no lake near us at all that is why we have no mention of a lake in our listing. The composting toilet may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is brand new and sparking clean- certainly not disgusting. While I don't find an option onVRBO to list the type of toilet, I do agree that I should find a spot to let people know that it is waterless. Every once in a blue moon there is someone who, like you, would not prefer to go near one. Rest assured though, you showered in good old fashion city water. We have it trucked from the nearby City of Sutherlin.
