This is a thoughtfully designed and well-maintained house in a beautiful waterfront setting. Highly recommend.
Views: Most of the home has gorgeous views of the water.
Deck: The house has a huge wraparound deck. The deck has a nice dining table with accompanying seating, near the grill.
Bedrooms: The master bedroom was so impressive. A-frame style panoramic windows on one side, sliding glass doors on the other side with waterfront views. Bedroom has its own thermostat and was easy to set a comfortable temperature. Huge walk-in closet with room to hang things and hangers. Huge master bathroom with nicely placed heat vent in the floor that will keep your feet warm as you get ready in front of the mirror. (No tub in the master bedroom, but the upstairs bedroom en-suite has a tub.) The other bedrooms were small but nice.
The owners said that their parents’ built the house in the 60s, and I could feel the thoughtfulness that went into the design of the house. Other highlights:
Fully stocked kitchen and pantry, and fully stocked closets with towels, tissues, toilet paper, soap, etc.
Comfortable, beautiful living room, albeit with simple furnishings. The hanging paper lamps are perfect for highlighting the strengths of this space.
Kitchen has plenty of counter space and easy to work in.
Internet was fast and reliable.
Short and easy drive (less than 5 minutes) into town- plenty of stores and restaurants.
Easy drive onto the cape and local attractions. Food at the Lobster Trap was a highlight.
I usually like to try staying in different homes and tend not to repeat a stay, but this is a home that I hope to return to and stay again.
