Posted Jul 20, 2026 The house is great! Loved the rooftop.The garage is extremely small. Our Honda Ridgeline fit with only inches to spare.Cable TV in family room never worked properly despite visit from property management.

Very cute, quiet. We enjoyed the nearby hiking trail. People in NC are very friendly. I can’t believe the week went by so fast.

Beautiful home and wonderful stay in a secluded mountain area. Hot tub was clean and in good working order. Highly recommend!

This cabin was even better in person than it was in the photos! The house smells like a fresh log cabin when you walk in, and every little detail has been thought out. The bedrooms had more than enough pillows, and they are very comfy! The owners were thoughtful enough to provide white towels, which is nice because you know they are clean. They even provided a black makeup removal towel, which is a top-notch detail many hosts overlook. This place was a GEM!

Cabin was very clean when we arrived, although one of the doors that leads from a bedroom to the back deck was unlocked, so we had to do a safety check to make sure no one had snuck in. As 2 women traveling alone, we didn’t feel great about that. The couch, while cute, was really uncomfortable to sit on, we ended up folding it out to a bed so we could sit on it. The beds are firm memory foam for anyone that doesn’t prefer that. We stayed during hurricane Isaias, and had some power fluctuations resulting in the fridge breaker tripping-which we did not notice until the morning when there was water all over the floor in the kitchen. We cleaned it up ourselves, and called it into the service line-but it took a couple of hours to hear back. We also discovered that evening when we tried to use the hot tub that it was off. The breaker had not tripped, so we didn’t think to check on it, but there is a reset button outside where the hot tub is plugged in, and once I pressed that it did come on. The temperature had gotten down to 87 and when we checked back a couple of hours later, it had only gotten up to 91. That resulted in us not being able to use the hot tub during our stay, which was one of the reasons we booked this place. That might be something to include in emails to guests as a thing to check if there is a power loss. We also didn’t realize this property is part of a larger business, so when booking, there are like 12 additional forms to sign, which seems excessive.

Allen was an amazing dude! Extremely beautiful place even in the dead of winter. Rental car was a front wheel drive party machine and did just fine if anyone has doubts, even with icey conditions! Definitely booking more in the future maybe even some celebratory shenanigans! Thanks for everything bud!

We loved this little cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The managers of the property communicated very well and were accommodating when we asked for a later check out. We would love to stay here again or possibly bring the family to one of their larger houses. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to take a trip to the area.
